That is a good reason for 18k gold. 10k gold on the other hand.

Yes, at the same clock speed ratings, AMD Athlon64 processors would outperform a P4. Hell, I think it is almost unfair to compare them, as one is what should be (and is by AMD) considered outdated technology.
This does not mean "MHz don't matter." I did not say clock speed was the measuring factor... not even Intel wants you to believe that any more. Just because it is not fully descriptive, this has nothing to do with them not mattering.

Intel went the route for MHz that don't matter, and AMD concentrated on building a solid product.
MHz don't matter? Since when? Clock speed is one of the several valuable rating factors.
I doubt that they would make the devices like the article poster's non-functional too soon, seeing as people who buy stuff like that are often the kind of customer who would get the most pissed off.
Don't be silly. Just because it's not using gas doesn't mean that it's not using oil, or some worse form of energy conversion (it's noookular). How do you think the electricity gets made when you plug it into the wall? Just because you can plug it in, doesn't mean it's better than burning gasoline.
Too be selfish about it a tad, it is conceivable that it could still be cheaper to use electricity from the wall. Hell, I've seen free charging stations for electric cars a number of times.
How is that price fixing? That's price charging. I don't see why they should need to charge any amount: they ought to eb able to charge 50 pounds a track for all anyone can care, they are providing a for-profit service.
Indeed, a flash player is better than a harddrive player "[f]or the active person," doing stuff like "jogging." If that's not what the player is being used for, the article does not have any commentary.
Also, I could see how radio and stopwatch could help "the active person," wanting to time a lap or listen to the TV at the gym over the radio.
Further, I have to agree on the display point. I really doubt even M$ would dismiss the usefulness of a screen if Apple put one on the shuffle: ut us a good feature to have, especially if you have half a gig of music.
I was attempting humor. There are a lot of foaming-at-the-mouth OSS zealots who offer that as a solution to actual problems, and I was attempting to mock them.
That is simply not the case. You really need to get a clue.

As far as nuclear power goes, I wonder what's better, relying on oil or nuclear power?
The current environmental track record would seem to suggest that on that criterion, relying on nuclear is better.
tfp.
You insensitive clod, my mother died from Perl.
Insulation and fire retardation, among various things.
"Good job, sir... may I shake your hand?"
Tinfoil gloves, man, tinfoil gloves.
I'm highly offended at the content posted in the Homepage field of your postbit.
Unless Rockstar planned to release this feature as an expansion to the existing PC games.
If you've ever played the multiplayer, you will notive that the game REALLY wasn't designed for it.

8 Hours is good, but a 1.4Ghz processor? Not worth my money, I would wait a couple of months to let the better companies one-up them,
You insensitive clod, I only have 2 weeks to live.

I, for one, welcome our new bored chess-playing machine overlords.
If you don't like it, stop whining and rewrite it yourself.
For 6,000+ units, you can get whatever the hell you want.
When I followed the tinyurl link, I was expecting goatse or something, not something THAT bad, man.
I use Yahoo weather, which really helps with speed of loading for me.
Google could potentially kick some ass, though, I would think.
Yeah, that was pretty bad ass.
And overrated? Since when was my post rated? Off-topic, possibly, but seriously...
