Quite a few Democratic politicians have firmly stated that they want to confiscate guns, including Hillary (look upthread for citations)
If you look at the dissenting opinion in the Heller case, the 4 liberal Supreme Court justices were quite clear. They believe individuals do not have the right to own guns.
The Korean War wasn't glamorous like WWII kind of was and the last 2 years were basically a stalemate so it doesn't get a lot of attention in the USA and maybe almost none at all in the EU...
Let's be honest, almost everything westerners know about the Korean War comes from watching M.A.S.H.
Creating a bootable USB stick under Windows is pretty easy, providing you're wanting to boot to Linux. UNetbootin or YUMI both work really well under Windows, with the caveat that they require Admin privileges.
Creating a bootable USB Windows installer, on the other hand, has been very hit-and-miss for me, particularly using Microsoft's USB creation tool.
...if I'm going to hijack the PSN account some guy set up using my gmail address. I wonder if Sony's bothered to start sending a test message to confirm email addresses on new accounts yet.
A few months ago, I commandeered a Twitter account that was linked to my email. I did manage to resist the temptation to screw around with some 64-year-old woman's match.com account. Doesn't anybody check these things?
Not retired, but I do a bit of in-home support for people in my area. (Most of them are older users - I used to work in the IT department of the local retirement home.) I've had a few that unintentionally upgraded that I helped roll back, one that I had to reload Win7 since he waited more than 30 days to decide he didn't like 10.
I got a lot of calls from people asking about the upgrade. Most of them decided to stay with Window 7 after I told them that 7 would be supported until 2020 - they figured they'd be getting a new computer before then. (Several of my elderly users half-joked about whether they'd still be around by then.) I had several that moved from Windows 8 to 10 and thought it was a big improvement. I didn't have any Linux conversions because of Windows 10, but years ago I had one because of Vista. He was a happy Ubuntu user for a couple of years, then switched to a Mac.
As for my personal experience, I upgraded my laptop shortly after 10 released, partly to see how it would perform on older hardware. Turns out that Windows 10 is painful on a Core2 Duo with 2GB RAM, but no more so than Windows 7. I upgraded my desktops within the last week of the free upgrade. The only problem I've found so far is that Infrarecorder - an Open-Source CD/DVD burning program - won't run. The splash screen flashes up briefly, then nothing. I've only tested this on one of my desktops, and this was a pretty well-worn, crufty machine that was my daily driver for years. Haven't tried it on another machine yet, so it may be a fluke.
Best video downloader 2I haven't used this in a while, so I don't know if it will still work, but this is the only youtube video downloader I have found that works on chromium-based browsers. Firefox, on the other hand, has very many in their add-ons store.
I've had a couple of video downloader extensions that quit working, or would work for some videos but not all. I've switched to just pasting the address in at keepvid.com to get a download link.
After it reboots, but before it starts loading Windows, you can usually hit some key to load hardware setup or the boot options. You can kill the power from there.
I swear to God, every freaking time I start to consider moving my desktop to Win10, MS pulls something like this and makes me reconsider.
Yeah... I have lots of seriously concerns about Clinton... but I'd pick her over Trump because I'm a one-issue voter, and that issue is not opening the seventh seal and ushering in the apocalypse.
Um, Hillary has already pretty conclusively demonstrated that she can't keep anything securely sealed.
Email server, Bill's pants... yeah, there is a bit of a pattern.
Clinical trials are fucking expensive, man. Somewhat less expensive if the drug is already approved for other uses, but you're still talking probably upwards of $100M per drug to show that it works. The NIH budget isn't big, especially if you want them to keep funding basic and translational (not clinical) research at the same time.
At one point during the early discussions of the TPP trade deal, a thought occured to me: Why don't we have an international agreement for reciprocity in medical treatments? Clinical trials are, as you say, "fucking expensive, man," but they're many times more expensive when you have to go through variations of the same trials over and over for different markets.
I was recently talking with my father-in-law. He told me about how his mom and sister had both been to Germany for a particular neck surgery that isn't yet approved in the U.S. Seriously? It's not like Germany has some back-woods medical system that treats everything with leeches and liquor. Can't we have an agreement between the G7 countries where, if a drug goes through clinical trials and get approved in one, they others can just say, "Good enough for me!"?
There are two levels of evidence needed. First, that something was clearly leaked, and THEN it was leaked intentionally. Right now she's still at level 0 (based on public evidence).
The Espionage Act criminalizes the mishandling of classified documents. Intent is irrelevant. So, to correct your level estimation, she's at Level 1, where Level 1 corresponds to "broke the law". Plus there's the issue of passing her email archive to her lawyer, who was not cleared for classified documents.
Not on Linux you don't, it comes from a trusted Ubuntu PPA, you don't need to visit any website to install keepass2. Windows and Android users are just shit outta luck doing it this way.
Android has nothing to do with this because: A) Android users are probably going to install and update through an App store, and B) This dev only works on the Linux, Windows, and OSX versions - the Android ports, (there's several,) IOS, Blackberry, etc... come from different developers.
I did, a few months ago, because of the creeping bloat, and now I use Fx browser.
Just checked out Fx. Apparently they're running $1 off their paid version, and they specifically mention a popular competitor that's started running ads on the lockscreen. (I've used ES file explorer for awhile, came to this thread because I knew/.ers would be discussing alternatives).
I've encountered a number of programs that use QT codecs for handling mp4 files, including, I believe, some versions of Powerpoint. I help out with some of the tech work at our church, and I know that the presentation software we use won't play mp4 files without QuickTime installed.
Just like how, once upon a time, there was the SciFi channel that ran reruns of classic science fiction TV shows and movies. Eventually they migrated to mostly original content - which was almost entirely unwatchable crap.
Sounds a little crazy, but at the same time, there are diehards of both party who wouldn't vote for the other side if their candidate ended up as a suspected murderer let alone some other form of lesser criminal.
For living proof of this, look at how many discussions of the current Democrat primary race include the phrase, "...assuming she's not indicted..."
Yeah, this is a lot like "hacking" your neighbor's unsecured WiFi or the Facebook account someone left signed in at the library.
My first thought on reading the summary was that somebody's going to do the same thing with unsecured, publicly accessible 3D printers, and we'll see a story about hundreds of 3D printers around the world spontaneously printing dildos.
Using a KB/Mouse is awful for a VR experience, so is a controller... seated VR is a really bad idea except for games where your character is seated, like racing games.
I'm really looking forward to trying VR with a flight sim or space sim. Seems to me that sitting in a chair, flightstick in hand, using VR for freelook would be an absolute blast. I'd love to see a VR-enabled reboot of the X-Wing series, (or Freespace, or Wing Commander.)
Given the cost of the Rift, I hope they'll have a rental or try-before-you-buy option. I don't have a problem with motion sickness, but I have a pretty strong glasses, (contacts aren't an option for me,) and I'm not about to shell out that much money for a VR headset without being able to try it first.
Then why did the teenagers teach it to be pro-nazi?
This question has a very simple answer:
They did that because that is the viewpoint of the current North American culture. Two words Donald Trump
And this isn't it.
The real reason? They did it for the lulz. They're internet trolls operating behind a cloud of anonymity. They're going to go with whatever option will piss off the most people.
Quite a few Democratic politicians have firmly stated that they want to confiscate guns, including Hillary (look upthread for citations)

The corpse of Steve Jobs can't run for president... The Democrats already have their candidate, and she's in slightly better health than Mr. Jobs.

Could be DeepFreeze, also

It's not an AI, unless there's been major breakthroughs in the field of Artificial Idiocy.

I'll add Google Music, Maps, and the G:Drive / Google Docs suite. Still pissed that they shut down GReader, though.

The pink bunny's a lot slower, though.
(Good to see people still respect the classics.)
I have a feeling that two-year online college course is actually cheaper than a set of hearing aids.

IF NEW.DATE CURRENT DATE - 2, goto INVALID.DATE
then the invalid date subroutine ignores further attempts to alter the date.
FTFY
So if you set someone's date forward 15 years, they can't set it back?
