If you look at the dissenting opinion in the Heller case, the 4 liberal Supreme Court justices were quite clear. They believe individuals do not have the right to own guns.
The Korean War wasn't glamorous like WWII kind of was and the last 2 years were basically a stalemate so it doesn't get a lot of attention in the USA and maybe almost none at all in the EU...

Creating a bootable USB stick under Windows is pretty easy, providing you're wanting to boot to Linux. UNetbootin or YUMI both work really well under Windows, with the caveat that they require Admin privileges.
Creating a bootable USB Windows installer, on the other hand, has been very hit-and-miss for me, particularly using Microsoft's USB creation tool.

I've had a few that unintentionally upgraded that I helped roll back, one that I had to reload Win7 since he waited more than 30 days to decide he didn't like 10.
I got a lot of calls from people asking about the upgrade. Most of them decided to stay with Window 7 after I told them that 7 would be supported until 2020 - they figured they'd be getting a new computer before then. (Several of my elderly users half-joked about whether they'd still be around by then.) I had several that moved from Windows 8 to 10 and thought it was a big improvement. I didn't have any Linux conversions because of Windows 10, but years ago I had one because of Vista. He was a happy Ubuntu user for a couple of years, then switched to a Mac.
As for my personal experience, I upgraded my laptop shortly after 10 released, partly to see how it would perform on older hardware. Turns out that Windows 10 is painful on a Core2 Duo with 2GB RAM, but no more so than Windows 7. I upgraded my desktops within the last week of the free upgrade. The only problem I've found so far is that Infrarecorder - an Open-Source CD/DVD burning program - won't run. The splash screen flashes up briefly, then nothing. I've only tested this on one of my desktops, and this was a pretty well-worn, crufty machine that was my daily driver for years. Haven't tried it on another machine yet, so it may be a fluke.

Clinical trials are fucking expensive, man. Somewhat less expensive if the drug is already approved for other uses, but you're still talking probably upwards of $100M per drug to show that it works. The NIH budget isn't big, especially if you want them to keep funding basic and translational (not clinical) research at the same time.
At one point during the early discussions of the TPP trade deal, a thought occured to me: Why don't we have an international agreement for reciprocity in medical treatments? Clinical trials are, as you say, "fucking expensive, man," but they're many times more expensive when you have to go through variations of the same trials over and over for different markets.
I was recently talking with my father-in-law. He told me about how his mom and sister had both been to Germany for a particular neck surgery that isn't yet approved in the U.S. Seriously? It's not like Germany has some back-woods medical system that treats everything with leeches and liquor. Can't we have an agreement between the G7 countries where, if a drug goes through clinical trials and get approved in one, they others can just say, "Good enough for me!"?

The Espionage Act criminalizes the mishandling of classified documents. Intent is irrelevant. So, to correct your level estimation, she's at Level 1, where Level 1 corresponds to "broke the law". Plus there's the issue of passing her email archive to her lawyer, who was not cleared for classified documents.

I've encountered a number of programs that use QT codecs for handling mp4 files, including, I believe, some versions of Powerpoint. I help out with some of the tech work at our church, and I know that the presentation software we use won't play mp4 files without QuickTime installed.

Using a KB/Mouse is awful for a VR experience, so is a controller... seated VR is a really bad idea except for games where your character is seated, like racing games.
I'm really looking forward to trying VR with a flight sim or space sim. Seems to me that sitting in a chair, flightstick in hand, using VR for freelook would be an absolute blast. I'd love to see a VR-enabled reboot of the X-Wing series, (or Freespace, or Wing Commander.)
Given the cost of the Rift, I hope they'll have a rental or try-before-you-buy option. I don't have a problem with motion sickness, but I have a pretty strong glasses, (contacts aren't an option for me,) and I'm not about to shell out that much money for a VR headset without being able to try it first.
