If you get the right music video, it is a small step away from soft porn. Sure, this may be the least favourite type of porn, but it is the one you can get away with at work.
Email, who worries about email with all these new features that yahoo have added. I don't think that you will be missing email once you have tried the new Yahoo experience. Yahoo!
Right, and everybody even semi-intelligent understands all the nuances of new technology, as well as everything else in the world. Blaming judges for not knowing everything seems a little stupid to me. Judges realise they don't know everything, so they rely on experts to explain technology to them - this can make a difference, but when one side doesn't even bother to present their case, then it is pretty easy to get misled.
There are plenty of stupid people in the world, doing stupid things, without you saying that some things which are complicated but not stupid, are.
You said it. Only. Imagine how much it would have made if people didn't expect something that shook the earth (or space, rather). And imagine how merchandizing would've soared.
Good point. And imagine how much it would have made, if it stated selling on a Tuesday instead of a Wednesday. This is not how logic world, if you run around spouting imagine this, imagine that then your argument has a few holes in it.
Firstly, it can be argued that Star Wars movies hit their expectations. Part of the market (the 30 years olds) didn't enjoy it, but they probably never would have. This was not due to hype, more due to nostalgia.
The problem with hype that this article points out, is that people start thinking about a game (or a movie) a lot, and they start to imagine how it will be, and get all excited. Then, it turns out different, and they get upset. This happens to me all the time with movies, I here a great idea, think about it, go see it and end up dissapointed, because it was handled badly, their were plot holes, and they threw in a love interest for no apparent reason!
Come on, they way I get my coffee in the morning and set my mood for the whole day. And if that bitch didn't get the right muffins, nobody is going to enjoy this game.
(Please take in the light-hearted manner it was intended)
It is probably aimed at upgrading boxes for schools, and they can keep the screens, but get a pretty reasonable machine. There seems to be a glut of old monitors at the moment, I see them going every day for £10...everybody wants new lcd screens.
As someone who played ridiculous amounts of both games, I am not so sure. I remember people getting a bit excited at Wolf, but going crazy over Doom. I remember the hysteria that doom created, even before it release, as soon as some pictures were released - many didn't believe that they were real, but they were. This was before the web, when you had to cruise the news groups for information, or hidden ftp sites, getting into the alt+255 directories.
Look, we all enjoyed Star Wars when we were young, but that is no reason to force it onto your kids. Let them watch something else, please! This is a form of abuse, you know!
Wow, so in several years you had to fill out the same info? Not really that much of a hassle, is it, unless you are signing up to these sites every week or so. Is it really worth the loss of privacy? For example, some sites you want to have your phone number (you bank), but most you probably won't. Some you will want to have your address (ebay), but most you won't. But each site will have access to all your information, and they will won't more than they need, because information is useful.
Sony cybershot? Well, wow, lets not get too specific. Is it the 2 megapixel model released 5 years ago, or the 10 megapixel released this week? Or one of the ones in between.
Sure, you are right, they are not the RIAA. But if you remember, the RIAA started by going after the distributors before they started going after individuals. They still received a lot of grief for that.
You can not solve social issues with technology. Social issue aren't always rational.
Well, I think this needs a correction: You can not solve all social issues with technology. Social issue aren't always rational. Obviously many can be solved, but not all.
If the "ATM machine" (sic) was in the middle of no where, on a small side street, no attached to a building, then I would be concerned. I have no evidence of this, but I think most people would be, but that maybe me thinking people are more intelligent than they are. If it was on the main street, attached to the bank or a supermarket, I would not be so concerned.
How does this translate to the online world? Not so easily. It is easier to get tricked by things like mail headers and URLs.
Ha, I laugh at that. Finally, thanks to Intel, I don't have to stop winamp before I send an email - this has always been a pain. Having to go to the task manager and make sure that no only one program is running has sure been annoying. If only they had developed some sort of system sharing, lets call it multi-tasking.
Further proof why these stores really suck, and I will never go to them.
I wonder if we will ever need 1080p on our pdas? Possibly, though I can't see it. What about on our watches? There is a limit.

Not one mention about their batteries??

Little Johnny Howard, you are a scumbag.
And what has this Free-Trade treaty with the US given us, the right to sell some more wheat. Nothing.
You Johhny, are a joke, and a bastard. Leave my country alone.

Wow, sounds like a bonus to me. Maybe I will check this out.

Look, you are never going to be able to recapture that original feeling. Stop trying, and stop blaiming it all on George Lucas.

This happens with every OS, except for one. For some reason, we have all come to expect that this is the norm.
Well you could just by an IBM, they have a laptop light built in. As if producing the best laptops alone wasn't enough.

This must be some sort of joke. Every single article about this event has gone out of its way to mention pretexting? I smell a conspiracy.
Yeah, we are really sorry about that. We are trying to get it pushed to every country.
Golden eye didn't work on the N64. But to be honest, someone told me later that I was trying to put it in upside down, but still, count yourself told!

Really, Simcity 5? What more can they do? Telephone cables? Cable tv? Maybe they will combine Simcity and the sims, build a city for your sims.
