Your head will explode - what a load of trash. I mean it is an interesting conjecture from good ol' George, but surely they could have found a better article to discuss it.
Be honest, how many of those songs do you really like? If you really like every song on those cds (or even over 25%), then you are unique - and really easy to please.
This is the advantage of the online system, NOT getting the whole album.
It is not disk caching - the OS requests that certain files be kept in that memory at all times. This memory would not be changed until it is told to change. This is so that files that have to be read, either to boot up or continue running the os are easily accessed, and quickly accessed. The drive would do disk caching as well, seperately.
It is like the school bully claiming that the teacher is colluding with the other students to segregate him from the school. Yeah he is correct, but so what. Colluding isn't wrong, unless you are breaking the law.
nd then asked if I'd like to transfer my data from another Mac.
Ok, this bit has almost sold me. No wonder everybody loves the mac, what a beautifully designed machine. And what do we get from Microsoft to compare to this??
Wow, that is really clever. You replaced the word Microsoft with Google, and then changed the date. This really does put it in a new perspective.
The fact you are missing is that Google never announced such a thing. A minor point you may think, but the fact is that it is indicative of MS business to hype more than deliver, and less people are convinced of it now, than ever before. So don't hold your breath for another google to come along, from Microsoft anyway.
Is this just Microsofts old tricks of anouncing lots of new products, to take hype and attention away from what is actually out there. Recently we had Origami, and now the world's best search engine.
And why 6 months, what will they do that is so magical in 6 months?
Sure, it really depends on what you are searching for. I tried to look for a couple of things, cufflinks and watch repair - these terms seem to be heavily spoofed. I tried all sort of variations on my search terms. No luck.
This is a good idea. The ability to ban bad sites. At least for yourself. Google should have an option, so that when you go back from a page, a little icon appears next to the search entry, with the option to delist them from your searches.
Cars are frequently based on the same floorplan and engine.
This is true, just take a look at all news cars - they all look exactly the same. Maybe with a different shaped grill, and some minor changes, but they are all exactly the same. It is a joke.
Simply because they are made by one company, does not mean that all the products are the same. I am sure that one company can produce different levels of catfood. As for floppy disks, I always thought that you paid for the tests they ran on the media. Cheap floppies - no tests, no guarnatees. More expensive, the more tests they ran and weeded out the dodgey disks.
Right. So the chicken you don't care about, but the toilet paper you do. Yes, my friend, you are a true Brit. Don't care what you stuff in your face, but the unimportant stuff... well, that is a different matter.
As far as slashdot goes, I think the general consensus is that it doesn't matter which one you hate the most, just so long as you hate them both sufficiently so as not to buy any of their products.
You are right, everybody is going to stop buying stuff from RIAA and MPAA. Except that they don't sell anything, they are instead representatives for a number of other companies. These other companies remain virtually anonymous, while the RIAA and MPAA get the bad press. Work out very well for them.
The best biplane pilots would have been eliminated by guided missles before they ever got their guns close enough to take a shot at a jet fighter. (Assuming they could catch a jet aircraft, which they couldn't.)
I don't know about this one. How would the missile now that it hit the byplane, since it was mostly wood and paper. The missile would probably fly straight through it, and continue on its way. And how would the missile even lock onto the biplane - I doubt it would produce a significant heat signature.
Maybe I can get a patent on creating the comment of "awarding the stupid patent patent" on any internet site, blog, news, created by any device capable of communicating with the internet, computer, mobile phone, games console, watch, long stick.
He must be talking about posting to his own journal.

Nice one Jeff, I didn't find your explanations at all childlike - self serving yes, but not childlike.
I hate them because I went for an interview and they turned me down - ha, explain that one away!
(Actually worked out better for me anyway)
So Microsoft, have you stopped beating your wife yet?

I would love it if Google just banned some sites from appearing on their search results, like about.com. This would improve there service.

I just want to see if they release dates constant - 8 movies every month. That should really help the system along.
Bunch of jokers.
Also, wasn't this the same release titles as for the UMB system. Is sony having problems getting any really good titles?

A difficult task, once you see the math geek women. Though to be honest, degrees better than the computer geek women.
Make sure you don't leave the house then.
You... nah, just kidding, you are great, really.

Hey, no one says that you can only have one enemy!
Me, I have thousands. Keeps me on my toes.

That would be really funny...
