THANK YOU!
It does my heart good to see someone remind others that just because you can find it, doesn't mean it's not selling well...
I just cant understand why this concerns you so much. A lot of buyer seem so hung up on this. Cut out the pissing competition and get back to playing the games man.
Sounds of Treo being used as a hockey puck because when palm devices lose power, they lose really important things like your Cisco engineer's callback and trouble ticket numbers.
You are right of course, but the palm does have a significant advantage over mobile phones. It can backup the info on your pc, so even if you lose it, you can retain all your info.
ahhh, here you have discovered the root of most problems. If i go up to someone on the street and ask them to turn around and bendover, they will either run or hit me, but if a bank or similar corporation does the same thing, then people will whinge, come on slashdot and complain, but still spread there cheeks. Apathy, best friend of the corporate villian.
And I can honestly say that Microsoft hasn't harmed me, hasn't stifled my innovation and basically has had little to no impact on me.
You are not being honest, you are being ignorant. You should start the sentence of "I can ignorantly say that..." You dont know how the world would be different withough microsoft, how mich better (or worse) it would be. You have to admit they have had a huge influence on the computing world, makeing your statement very naive.
My personal opinion is that much of the Microsoft bashing goes on for a few reasons
This is a very simplified interpretation of events. Microsoft has had a definite impact on the world of computers, in a number of way that most people on slashdot know about, but which you seem to prefer not to know! Like licensing that forced every computer seller to charge for windows, even if it wasnt on the machine. Like restricting what else is supplied on a windows machine. Forcing companies to not allow dual-booting. etc...
From the perspective of the schools, this is called looking a gift horse in the mouth. Schools do need computers, so hopefully these computers will mean they can spend up on other things, like books, and teachers pay.
I find this fantastic. I used to have two small windows, dumeter to measure internet io, and altdesk, a virutal desktop program sitting next to each other. Now i just change altdesk's transparency, and place it over the dumeter. Can still see dumeter, and click on altdesk to change virutal window.
You are one of those people that try to deliberately NOT understand someone. In designing a game you have a limited number of resources, do you spend it on graphics or gameplay.
Of course, perhape artists dont view the world like programmers, and dont like to give things away for free!
I'd rather see resources spent on something else like curing diseases, etc.
Dont you understand that that is how they were eradicated in the first place. Too many people, and you want to cure disease so we can cause more extictions... you really dont get it. The only animal that is not under threat of extinction is perhaps the one that needs it most.
It's one thing to be newbies on the block. Enterprise makes humans out to be the village idiot.
Gag me. My 1 year old neice demonstrates better judgement than the characters on the show. And she sticks random objects off of the floor in her mouth.
I cant believe that more people dont see this. Every time the Vulcan suggests something, the captain does the opposite, just to show that humans have feelings and are not all logical. No matter how stupid it is. This would be like getting some ignorant southern hick to captain the enterprise.
not the same meaning at all, "Hello, sir. How are you today?" means that you are a well spoken gentleman, while "Howdy, dood! Howzit hangin, my man?" means you are a complete moron with a desperate need to the chlorinated out of the gene pool.
which I think I'll probably remeber as much as the first time I heard `meinleiven' (or whatever) come out of the shiny new SoundBlaster 2.0
It was actually Mein Leiben... which off course means, "my life" or "my love", which came about from the inherent homosexuality of all nazis after seeing a beautiful american warrior!
20 million units??? come on...
The PS2 was released less than a year ago, so be generous.. 20mill/52 = 384,615 unit a week??
Does it still sound plausable!
THANK YOU!

Come one, come all heh??? Have you actually read your post? well then...

This would prevent you from having kids the same way the creature from the black lagoon is preventer from having kids!
As in all such cases, Red Hat has bigger breasts.
The Cook.
Really... who would have thought. Not I, for I was being completely serious!

or perhaps with recent events unfolding as they have, 2001 or 2002?

Almost made me not want to get rid of 2000.
you cant use ATI drivers with your NVIDIA card. Perhaps thats why you call them bad?

But dont you understand this is the "nuclear transfer technology used to create Dolly the sheep " that they mention in the article.
There was once giant kangaroos too, about 3-4 metres tall. Maybe we could resurrect them both, and they could fight it out...
An oz joke, dont expect much laughing tho... i laughed tho. Might as well say "just like those Canadians"
Everytime you switch on an airconditioner you are "playing god".
Everytime you switch on your light at night, you are "playing god".
Everytime you take anti-biotics your "playing god".
However i do agree with you, we should stop "playing god".

Doesnt anyone else find this strange that it is reported in a German magazine, rather than an American??

Perhaps this is more a reflection on you than the game.... our little Zorkon is growing up!
and we all know what a big impact the female population has on computer game sales... since they buy so many... with there makeup and shoes!!
