If he HAD been looking at kiddie porn, if he HAD been a sexual predator, being a father how could I stand back and not try to do something? It turned out he wasn't a diddler, just... Really really really really creepy.
This is why it is so scary to let certain people, delusional paranoids such as yourself, to have this power. It boggles the mind what someone would have done to convince you that they were a kiddy fiddler, wearing black clothes, taling quietly, maybe they just weren't that social - i am pretty sure that they didn't have disturbing pictures around the cubical. I guess he is just glad that you weren't so convinced that you dropped a few extra files onto his machine - all in order to protect your children from the non-existant menace. Congratulations, I am sure your witch hunting will be put to better use next time.
Like it or not, people like you are the problem? Why didn't you get it with XP, or without an OS? Why did you want Vista anyway, you clearly have never read a review on it before buying the machine? Was it just because it was from Microsoft so it should be trusted, or the fact that it was new and therefore should be better.
You clearly admit that you have already been burnt before. I have no doubt that you will once again. I have no real reason to be angry at you, but I still am because people like you have kept this crap going. You keep buying Microsoft, and no doubt always will, no matter what shit they do to you.
Maybe in retail 1% isn't very much, but in Computing, 1% is really huge. It is unnacceptable for a CPU to have a 1% error, or servers to be down 1% of the time. In it, we talk about downtimes of 0.0001%, and errors of even less. So I am sure even Microsoft will be aiming to reduce errors by a lot more than 1%.
In Queensland, Australia, some councils used to pay these pretty girls to walk around in bikinis and feed the meters. A great idea, I am sure you will agree.
Is it really any different to driving past a billboard, or flicking past a magazine page, without buying the product? Is that theft as well? Each of those is paid for by the advertiser.
It sounds like some of the anti-piracy crew have found a new job.
Why are these people so intent on advertising to people who are clearly not interested in it. Are they of the belief that those of use who go out of the way to avoid these adverts, will somehow fall under their magic when we see their latest animations?
Yes, there may be no legal recourse. But it will affect how people will see the site, and whether people will stick to it. If facebook comes down too hard, they may get a lot of bad press, and start to lose a lot of people.
Or it supports my theory that people get more selfish as they get older. It is in the form of power corrupts, as we get older we get more power over out environment, which comes with more money and a family. Naturally people want to protect and do the best for their families, and they have the means to do that to a greater extent. This comes at the sacrifice to society as a whole, in the situations where two decisions are at odds.
An example of this is suv, where people want to protect their family if they can afford it, but it makes it much more dangerous for other on the road. There are many more examples of this.
Of course, not everybody thinks like that. Some people actually care about other who they aren't related too, who are different to them. According to the conservatives, people who care are called communists.
You suggest that OOXML works great for you, because you already have parts of Microsoft Office emulated in your software. How easy do you think it is to write a OOXML reader or editor from scratch? This seems to be the majority of complaints about Microsofts standard. Surely a standard should describe this process completely.
Well, it is a VIRTUAL operating system. Complaining that it is not an operating system is like complaining that second life doesn't give you another life.
As a Quad G5 (4x 2500) Mac owner with lots of RAM, I really don't want a browser choking up an entire CPU and flooding my memory.
Why? You have all that hardware, why not use it? I mean unless it starts to intefere with your real work, and there is no evidence that it is doing that, then you are fine.
If the things MS makes are 'defectivebydesign', then monopoly or not, some other system will win.
What? This is the whole point of our argument - there are clearly better solutions to Microsoft, but the majority still use Microsoft, so you are clearly mistaken
Maybe you can help us all out by explaining this magical force of nature that ensures that what is right with the world happens? If you somehow believe that the best product eventually comes out on top, then you should really do some research, there are plenty of examples of this not happening. (Firewire and USB is one simple one, SCSI and IDE, there are lots)
Somebody more powerful, yes, but not necessarily someone more intelligent.
Or certainly not as intelligent as you think you are! And why bother to try and justify your own intelligence, I mean just because this someone is in a higher position than you, well, it almost proves that you are more intelligent than he is!!
Good one, to people who really believe this shit, go and get into a position to back up your "qualifications" for intelligents, or just fuck off!
Which is one of the reasons I will never post on your page. What is the point of trying to have a discourse with someone, when they censor you. There is no point even reading anything you write, since my voice will not be heard. It is quite frustrating when you are reading something that needs a minor correction, or a voice of common sense and you can't leave one.
Why the fuck would I care which system sells more?
You do realise that the number of games on a system, and the quality of games on a system is directly related to the number of systems sold. I would think that you have a vested interest in seeing more systems sold, for that simple reason.
Yes, and that is exactly what they mean. Unlike the religious world, scientists don't blindly hold onto their models of the universe when evidence comes along to the contrary. They try to come up with new models which fit with this evidence.
So when they say that is not normal, they mean it is not normal within the confines of the theories we have about the Universe, so either there is an observational error, or we need to come up with some new theories. They are not saying this is not normal, and therefore we are going to forget all about it, and try to pretend it doesn't exist.
Wow, you really don't want to get the point do you. I am not saying that people will somehow change companies so that they are no longer interested in profit. But we do have an influence on companies.
When that money leaves the country it leaves in Dollars, other countries may trade that currency, but eventually they are still U.S. dollars and have to come back into the U.S. The majority of these end up buying treasury bonds.
They can also spend that money on things like property, and companies - so they end up owning more and more parts of the US. This is scary for a lot of people.
Well, it is a bit much to expect the unverisities to have to pay for every site, so business got involved. And funnily enough, there came a time when they wanted to make money out of it.
This is my entire point? Why is it good PR, if people didn't care about the environment, it wouldn't be good PR. If people didn't care enough to change their buying habits, it would be worthless PR, but it isn't it is good PR because people care - so thus, they are changing the way companies act.
Sure, companies could be doing more, they could be operating with no lights on, and no heaters - but lets not get ridiculous here. Are they changing they way they operate - yes, and this is a good things. Are they doing everything they could possibly do, no, and for good reason most of the time.

So, you must get so confused when you leave your basement.
I will never buy another DVD, the DVD is one of the most annoying formats ever. At least with VHS I can fast forward past the boring warnings.
Some sort of electric shock, sent through the keyboard or mouse, should do the trick!!
Some people drink the cool-aid.
Other people bathe in the cool-aid.
Then there are those who get an expensive blood-cool aid replacement operation.

The adds will appear for a few seconds at the bottom of the youtube video. It is part of the flash video player, so very difficult to get rid of.
