I understand the point you are trying to make, but it is not like people who are trying to be healthy will ever start smoking. The only idiots yet get these days smoking, are people who obviously don't care about their health at all. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a downturn in cigarette use if they start promoting these minor health benegits. (I don't consider cigarette smokers logical).
Did you know that the windows are actually the weakest part of the airplane, so this wouldn't be such a bad idea. As long as you can still pull the curtains across, of course.
Also, programming is useless, because nobody can write a bug free program.
And weather predication is useless, because we can never be 100% sure of the results.
And Economics is useless, because there are so many parameters to measure constantly, and they are always changing that we can't actually be sure of anything at anytime.
Wow, i can understand this sort of junk getting written, but modded up to 5? Come on.
This is the first price cut since it was released. If that somehow translates in any way to them being "worried", then you are a fool. There are many reasons to do a price cut. They have reduced the price of making the PS3. They have gotten a higher price from those really keen to get one. You have clearly had no experience in marketing at all.
I imagine when they originally planned the PS3, they would realise that it would be slow at start. They would always have had a price cut planned (and some more down the road, but unlikely before the end of the year). If you have any evidence that they have moved up their schedule then produce it. Overwise you are just another blowhard nintendo fan.
Exactly. There is absolutely no point in being negative about their format, until the very last one is sold. Until the very last moment, it will be lauded despite all the logic against it. When they do finally kill it off, it will still be lauded, so there is never any point in listening to a company in this situation, especially Sony.
This reminds me of those old half hour versions of Knight Rider they used to show on Saturday mornings. They would edit out all the drama dialogue, so that all that was left were the Hoff talking to his Firebird and Lots of Turbo boosts. Basically only scenes with action music under them.
They're doing the same thing with Holmes on Homes, on HGTV. Personally, I can't stand it, but I'm one of those guys who always waits for the extended edition of a film to be released before buying it.
I guess you are one of those guys who like the dialogue in porn movies as well.
No, he is correct. You are being stupid. One could say, you don't have to resort to posting your clearly stupid theories. Maybe you can learn from that next time.
Seriously this implies all information from now will be lost. Pretty Dim view
Not really. Do you really think that anything we have stored today will still be viewable in 100 billion year - no way in the world. We will be a long forgotten race. I am so sure of this, I will even bet you!
You know, I really hate reading about the PS3. So you know what I do (this is a secret, so don't let anyone else hear about it), I stop reading after I come across the word PS3. Most articles about the PS3 include it in the heading. I have installed this special widget in firefox called a scroll bar (you can probably download it from somewhere), and I scroll past the story.
I used to click on every PS3 story and complain about it, but then I realised that I was just being a complete wanker, and stopped.
So, how the fuck do you get moderated up, how many stupid people really hate iphone stories, but still feel the need to click on the link, and read all the comments to the end. What a bunch of retards.
It is about collecting things. Collectors usually prefer unopened items (like those star wars figures - they are worth more when they are still in their plastic containers).
{RANT ON} Personally I hate collectors. My gf dad is a big one. It is a pretty big indication of how selfish and greedy we are in the west, that we prize this stupid old crap, and artificially inflate the value of trash like this. As you say, the beer would have gone of. I see collecting more as a psychological disease. A sickness that comes about from having too much money and space. A disease of the wealth.
Touch screens won't work, on their own. But they would still be very useful. Think about being able to move a window out of the way just by dragging your finger across the screen. That is just the beginning. If used in conjunction with a mouse and keyboard, I think they would add so much more.
I can't rocket jump. Any simulation worth running would let me rocket jump. And the cheat codes only seem to work for Republicans. That can't possibly be fair.
What do you mean you can't rocket jump, of course you can. Anybody can. The only problem it might cause a little bit too much damage.
This also hits upon a weakness in the scenario presented in the original Matrix (the sequels are dead to me). If the machines control the world, how can the rebels even exist? Forget about the logic that Agents should have reaperbot aims, they should be able to materialize 15 ton weights and anvils to drop on runners. So, why aren't they?
If you had seen the sequels, you would realise that they planned for the rebels. In fact, the system couldn't exist without rebels, they are just another form of control. Some people just need to rebel, so the machine were giving them a chance to do that. They were still actually under a lot of control.
The Agents are restricted by the same rules as everyone else. The machine created the simulation (the matrix), but it still lives by some rules. Think of them more as computer controlled players, rather tahn sys admins, making changes.
I didn't hate the matrix sequels as much as some people, (the third was stupid, but oh well). Actually really enjoyed the second.
Multiple carriers
- High-speed 3G network
- SD card slot...for essentially infinite on-the-go storage for MP3s et al.
- Numerous hard buttons to immediately get to the phone, MP3 player, or another app...and they are all programmable
You are just being silly. How many carriers do you use at once (well, most people only use one) High speed network loss is a shame, but it has wifi. Do you have 8 gigs worth of sd cards? I doubt it. Even if you do, most people don't. The only reason trio has sd cards, is because it doesn't have much memory. You like hard buttons, ok. I prefer max screen space.
This is a ridiculous statement, simpley for the fact that Microsoft and Yahoo do exactly the same thing as Google. So how could Google be more "evil" than either of those companies? How can it be more "evil" that Microsoft who does all this, keeps track of way more email and users personal details than Google can - every Windows computer has to be registered with Microsoft, more people use Hotmail and Microsoft Outlook and Exchange for managing their email.
You are clearly an idiot, the new breed of anti-google slashdoters.
the legal question about vista search hasn't actually been settled yet, so please don't talk like it has been.
I am not the one saying that Microsoft has not done anything wrong. So please don't accuse me os talking like the question of legality has been settled already.
Google do not want GDS to be integrated by Microsoft into Vista - nobody has said that, except the Microsoft fanboys trying to stir up support. So lay of with the crap, ok.
I will never but DVDs. My gf bought some, and we watched one last night. All I want to do is watch a movie, I don't want to be told that copying the movie is akin to stealing a car. I want to skip that shit, and watch the movie - no, we have to sit thorugh about 3 mintues of crap, because we BOUGHT the movie. I bet if we did buy a dodgey copy, they would skip all that anti-pirate shit.
well do you really expect anyone to integrate a third party search into their OS?
Well I expect them to obey the law, all the laws? Somehow you think that they are exempt from some laws, is that correct? Do YOU get to choose the laws that Microsoft are exempt from, based on some fact that you don't see Apple doing it, or does Microsoft?
I hate people like you, always slowing everything down while the cashier checks back to base for your card. To hard to carry around a few dollars or pounds for even small item. Waiting til you get to the front of the line to get your card out. Wasting my time when you realise you handed over the wrong card, and you have another one somewhere. All I want to do is get the hell out of the place, and you are in my way! You people really suck.
Can you really say that you have no problem with EVERYBODY knowing what you buy, where you have been. Even if you don't do anything wrong, that still annoys me.
I am sure you meant to say, even unemployed geeks aren't immune to outsourcing, since that after call centers, geeks work is the most outsourced job of all.
I understand the point you are trying to make, but it is not like people who are trying to be healthy will ever start smoking. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a downturn in cigarette use if they start promoting these minor health benegits. (I don't consider cigarette smokers logical).
Or, they could just put a chip on the blu-ray drives for computers that would do all this automatically. What do you think?
Did you know that the windows are actually the weakest part of the airplane, so this wouldn't be such a bad idea. As long as you can still pull the curtains across, of course.

I am going to invest my money in MUL - the return is much higher.
Well, what a stupid theory.
You don't have to resort to being an ass here...
No, he is correct. You are being stupid. One could say, you don't have to resort to posting your clearly stupid theories. Maybe you can learn from that next time.
So, just because one moron says it, it is now slashdot group think? If that your logic.
Boy, you are missing a whole lot.
Well, it seems that he is well within the law to pardon the prick.
Seriously this implies all information from now will be lost. Pretty Dim view

Yes, a new corporate strategy, maybe to you. But it has in fact been around for decades.
