I had no idea the people of open source software generally get paid for their services. I guess microsoft do not pay their workers to patch their software!
Again, brilliant comparision by micro$oft.
I'd imagine maintaining such a huge project would get very messy, which would generally lead to mishaps in making cross-references. My question is what do they use to manage such a huge complex code base?
Isn't this already happening? Let the OS wars continue! What is stopping Linux from dominating the entire market, inluding desktop PCs? Linux can run on anything, where as Windows cannot even run on normal x86 computer:) Yeah, baffle me with your knowledge on drivers.
Can we just once call them people. This isn't a video game, we are killing people over there. Yes, I said people.
The "terrorists" are on the other side of this war, fighting for what they feel is right. We use the word terrorist to defame an entire country filled with PEOPLE.
(..no, I do not support "terrorism"..)
mod me down.
War Games (Computer [digital voice]: "Would. You. Like. To. Play. A. Game?" Matthew Broderick: "How about Global Thermal Nuclear War?"); and there was U2's World War III album, War, including tracks like "Seconds" ("Push the button and pull the plug / Say goodbye, oh, oh, oh...");
This could be a good thing. From what I've seen Microsoft has forces it's windows users to use internet explorer, without it.. you can't upgrade. They incorporated a bunch of obscure parsing techniques that allows Internet Explorer to have some sort of handle over windows. If google teams up with firefox they could implement similar techniques that would force more people to use firefox.
Hitachi is adding three new 7,200 RPM drives to its family of Deskstar products, targeting the range of 3.5-inch consumer and commercial applications: mainstream PCs and workstations, digital video recorders (DVRs), nearline storage and other enterprise ATA applications.
Family of Deskstar? Deathstar? They were the makers of IBM's famous deathstar series?
