nope because the second they find out you read slashdot, they will know you are a 42 year-old virgin living in your mom's basement and you'll be inundated with Star Trek and nachos ads.

80's rock? soo really, the record companies did you a favor. Now we don't have to listen to you cruisin down the street in your camaro blasting Great White while trying to score with high schoolers. Er i take that back, the record companies did US a favor. :)

agreed. using the GPU to process vectors is much better/faster.

For satellite imagery you can run into images that are 400-500 MB. Try using a desktop card for that!

wtf "id Sotware's stance on OpenGL for gaming saved the day" for who? OpenGL did not NEED saving. There are plenty of OpenGL developers who used openGL. Graphics isn't all about gaming, son. Just about the entire scientific visualization community uses openGL.

I hope Solar3D's look a little better but the technology has been around for a while and is not very impressive

I dont think you get it. This is supposed to be aligned via software making it about 126487612834687913x easier. I mean even 4 doesnt seem bad but what if you had 24?

  18. Re:I worked on a bigger display at Purdue on 140" Monitor Demonstration At Purdue · · Score: 1

The tile wall Jim worked on is bigger and has a higher resolution than this one. The big deal about this one is that it is "software" aligned, which isn't too terribly impressive.
