I was able to put together a decent rig for $1000, not including a monitor or speakers since i had those already. I can play HL2, Doom 3, Painkiller etc. quite comfortably. I sold my 3 year old alienware for $500 so that made the deal even sweeter.
Point is : The jump from playability to WOW 999 fps!!!! is not worth an extra $1000.
So what happens if you only upload a total of 3% of the file before you finish downloading and stop sharing it? Should you only be accountable for $4,500 max?(3% of 150,000)
Actually, I think TV shows on dvd is a good value. Consider the amount of viewing material you get. If the show is an hour long, you get about 43 mins without commercials. Two episodes is the length of a typical movie. Typical Tv seasons are 22 episodes. By that math, you have the equivalent of 11 movies. $40ish bucks is a good deal for "11 movies". $100 is
a bit high, but worth it if its something you like.
I live in the same area. 20 bucks can buy you two or more preowned dvds that were released recently. For instance, i picked up Troy, The Terminal, Dodgeball, and Collateral for $20 total. Some buy 2 get 2 sale. Combine that with a 50in tv and a comfy bed, and you got a more enjoyable experience than a crowded theater.
Yes, they fixed the back to the future DVDs. I got my fixed copies last year sometime. It really wasn't the whole movie that was affected, just certain scenes. Maybe 10%(prob less) of the movies if i recall.
I suppose they could require it, but that would be a little insane. Who really keeps receipts for dvds they bought in 1998? We are talking 7 years here.
If they fixed whatever the text says on the back of the dvds in 2003, then they would probably just look on the back and see if the false info is there. If you bought a copy in a bargain bin for $5 and its a copy theyve had in storage for 5 years then you should still be entitled to your $7.10

SEGA master system had some kickass games though.
Alex Kidd, Zillion, Psycho Fox....
I can notice the difference between 128 CBR and 192 VBR, especially when listening to music on hi-quality speakers a la Bose. But above that its all just numbers.
Being a member of MySony, they sent me an email and had me take a short survey, then decided to give me a free "wavecard" which is a Smart card with Felica technology. This is the contactless tech mentioned in the article.
It requires software provided by Sony, and since I had the.NET runtimes installed already, I can't tell if.NET is really needed , I can say MS wasn't the first.
Yea, so basically you are required to have an internet connection to play.
What exactly is this "switch" the allows single player play? Does it require turning on every time you want to play or just the initial? I.e. if you want to play HL2 outside on your laptop, is this feasible?
Comcast offers HDTV....HDTV bandwidth is more than they give you for cable. Though im not sure 100%, i think my cable is 3mb/s. HDTV quality ( mmmm good) is at least 10mbs.....so if you have HDTV and cable connection, I wonder if they take that into account on this "magic" number.
Actually, i think its 'Independent'

That argument would only be valid if this person had one of those Nielson boxes...wouldn't it?
I've never seen a show for $200. What show is this? Most i've seen, at least in US Stores is Farscape for $150 at an overpriced FYE.

You forgot Final Fantasy X-2 where every playable character is a female.
Kent didn't die in that story. Supergirl morphed into Superman and 'rescued' Kent from some rubble after everything was said and done.
