The torture one is. The sad thing is it may be too late as it is about to be passed into law (Only Bush has to sign it).
Basically it will do the following. - Free Bush from any warcrimes (backdated) - Remove Habeus Corpus. This means you can be detained for your life and never be charged of any crime or even see a courtroom. - Allows the use of torture (as long as it is the US doing it) - Allows extraordinary rendition to continue.
The fun part is that these only apply to non-Americans. But wait theres more! All the US government has to do is declare you a non-combatant and according to this bill you automatically loose your citizenship.
Of course they would only ever use this on terrorists and at least this way we will never need to worry about them ever doing this to an innocent person.
Depends a lot on video clips of what. First up ignoring the fact they are low quality. A lot of the stuff I have watched which are TV programs which basically replaces what I would be watching on TV now and also is generally something that has already aired.
Lets not quibble, if you really wanted DVD quality TV rips you could bittorrent them.
Youtube basically replaces TV (for me at least), and in some cases I have actually bought stuff based off of what I have watched on youtube as its been intresting but annoying/bad quality to watch on youtube (Boondocks + Kim Sam Soon).
All youtube offers you is a way to view all these videos and comment on them. If anything was to happen it is very easy to have a fragmented system across the net without any serious problems.
TBH I think YouTube model could work quite well if they offered a pay service that had a player that just linked vid after vid. Leave the free 10 minutes per section there and then micropayment for new series from major media players.
On a side note because of child porn the US ruled that Customs have the right to search your laptop without a warrent or probable cause, in fact password protecting your laptop and refusing to give the password and you can go to jail.
Quite a lot of people it seems. Quite a few got the underlying story where its believed she is to be sacrificed on the 22nd October by her Satanists parents (alledgelly).
However after her interview on MTV, it turns out she may nothing more then a clever marketing viral advert for revver.com which is a rival of YouTube.
I recommend watching the lonelyOctober videos on youTube. The purple puppet explains the plot.
Seriously though. The rest of the world isn't desensitized to advertisements to the extent that the US population is. Even 1-2 seconds is annoying.
What I can see happening if they add adverts to your content is people will just move the content elsewhere. There are already FLV encoders/decoders out there now free and loads of places you can host your content for free too.
Generally any kind of scam in game works against the player. Especially in Eve.
For example most players won't deal with people under a certain number of skill points as the points are created over time (not gametime). This means players with lots of money generally have to have the skills to show they are a legtimate character and not someones ALT.
It is possible to create an ALT by just buying a second account but it costs money. You also tend to leave a trail unless you have been planning this for sometime.
This is the third biggest Scam I have seen (I'll let someone supply the links).
Search for "A Great Scam by Nightfreeze" 1. Scammed loads of money out of people by pretending to buy a blueprint. The overall scam itself was brilliantly done and the guys where asses for doing it but at the end his friend got greedy and the leader of the scam deleted his character (after giving the cash to some newbie).
http://www.mmodig.com/?p=155 2. I don't know what caused this to happen but it was a paid hit. The person was killed, and thier corporation looted on a scale not seen since Enron.
So in the end you should be dealt with in game. I have seen other players steal from corps only to have thier clones turned into corpses scattered through the system to the point they have to quit the game.
If anything this is really a learning experience for players. Would you prefer to be scammed out of virtual cash or real cash? Remember that next time you need the wallet inspectors in game.
1. He will be proven wrong by the company or disappear. 2. No one will care. 3. Loads of lives will be lost but it won't matter because it will be a democratic government at that time so they can blame them.
The short answer is yes. If you plan to do business with China or any Chinese company then you would have to comply with thier laws. Hard to believe but many companies (even in the US) do. For example just putting "Taiwan" into the country line in a document can get you in trouble.
But the US has similar laws that it uses the same system to enforce them. Lets say your country passes a law condemming the actions of Isreal for (pick a topic) and hearby embaros the country. You would not be allowed to follow that law and still do business with the US.
What I would of liked to have seen is some kind of Temporal police ST show, which basically intertwined with a lot of the other ST episodes similar to the Tribbles one.
Would be fun to totally turn some of the episodes on thier heads so that it wasn't the actions of Kirk, etc didn't save the day but instead some behind the scenes action.
Oh and they wouldn't be allowed to solve the episode using a temporal anomaly.:p
I had to get a laptop and I went with an XPS. Expensive but exceptional machine. Well worth it and outperformed quite a few custom rigs I had bumped into at lans. (average 150fps maxed resolution in CS:S). Paid close to 3,000 euros for it.
Haven't had any problem with the machine at all. Based on that my mother bought a desktop off them. 19 inch XTFT flatscreen and medium range machine (total cost was 1163 euros + scanner/printer). Machine is working perfectly. The wife is getting the same machine because its so sleek, fast and very very quiet.
If you think its sucks you should try a Tesco PC. Something the mother had beforehand because it was cheap (700 euros + printer + table). Horrible machine.
Another nice thing about Dell was the ease in which to buy the machine. I absolutly hate trying to buy a machine in a store now as you get some guy on commission trying to sell you the most expensive out of date POS.
If I had to fault Dell on anything though it has to be thier customer service. I mean the Customer service is ok, but what bugs is that the few people I have spoken to in that area (all Indians) only one of them spoke like a human. They would say something from a script and when you deviate it was like you had never spoken and they move onto the next part of the script even if you had answered that for them earlier on. I mean one point the person had asked me my name and address and then 5 minutes later asked me the exact same thing again despite them even having my order in front of them.
Giving arms to Hezbollah does not mean that Iran orcastrated the Israeli incursion into Lebanon. Especially when you consider that Israel gave the US its proposed plans *BEFORE THE KIDNAPPING*.
I also find it ironic about people going on about Iran when Israel for example actually built a fake nuclear control room so that the UN inspectors couldn't determine that they where building nuclear weapons.
But the most classic is that people stating they should bomb the plants, some even say nuke the plants. Have you people even looked at where the actual plants are. They are very near cities in Iran. I am sure some people will go "OMG! They are using these cities as human shields", try comparing locations to other countrys.

They don't remove offensive clips. They generally just hide them with a warning.
Take this for example (unless you work in a korean office your probably safe enough)...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jo0jxwXrAU
I flagged it as offensive as its a porn advert, instead they left it and now it just asks to verify your age.
The point that wasn't put forward so well in the article is that the Gas price can change everything.
Your shopping for example will go up in price as it costs more to transport it. Your electricity/gas at home can go up in price too.
yea if they really wanted they would just kidnap them anyway? :P ... I'll get my coat.
They will probably have them extradited like the Natwest Three. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NatWest_Three
I'm just amazed at how fast the blame of him falling is being moved to someone or something else.
:)
I thought he didn't play the blame game?
*doh* !
Not sure why you got modded funny.
H = 8th letter of the alphabet.
8th ASCII character is a backspace.
I thought they found out that blipverts caused people to explode? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blipvert

Actually the developer of the machine also built wheelchairs on the same technology and worked a lot cooler then the Segway.
I saw a demo of one climbing stairs while remaining perfectly balanced. Hate to think what would happen if the power went out though.
There is nothing anti-semite about the nickname.

Just hook the mic into a non-stop playing loop of Firefly theme tune and they are guaranteed to bring the series back then! :D
Interesting read but whats going to happen...

> While I understand that Dell sucks
Mileage varies TBH.

I'd really love to hear the revisionist history that invented that gem of a sentance.
It would make for a nice spin off for Atalantis as well if the human race on Earth where wiped out.
In case anyone doesn't understand the joke -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV1pFDj2l2w
Warning clip of "200" if you haven't seen it yet and don't want a spoiler don't watch it.
