Ah book off.
I remember when I went to Japan, going to book off and buying "used" manga for 100 yen each, which was basically new manga, because it barely looked used.
I also remember that book off was full of cd's, I have no idea if they were used or not though, because there were more than a Tokyo department store.
And where that book off was, was a used electronics store which was crazy.
Original gameboy pockets for 650 yen, Gameboy advanced for about 6000 yen (roughly 65 AUS here, compared to 100 for a new one here), PS1 games for 100 yen each. PS2 games slightly more expensive. Oh, and the cheap gundam wing.
Whilst many people may use the "Adults have to work, kids don't" may I remind people that:
. Adults have more disposable income than children, moreso if they're single.
. Generally, Adults have stopped learning (unless you go to university), and thus, they have more time to game and less to study (as high school is a frantic time)
. Adults have all resources available to buy these controversial games (GTA:SA uncensored, all new violent games) whilst children have to pirate or illegally obtain these new games to play them.
I would have thought it was pretty obvious.
When we play games - we need (at a minimum) 76Hz video at 1600x1200 full colour resolution...plus a couple of 44kHz audio channels...sustained - no dropouts and minimal latency.
And who are you talking for? Not everyone runs games at 1600x1200 on a 6800gt you know, theres some of us still running stuff at 1024x768 at 70hz, especially us 4200ti users!

No wonder they've quoted that. Steve Jobs did nothing but sell Apples, Ol' Woz made them and programmed them with this bare hands and didn't receive any credit.
Whilst Gates stole his initial OS from Apple again.
Remind me why these people are being played off as geniuses instead of criminals?
Firefox users, those ones with that tricky "unfindable" cache.
Surely they are the virus writers since they don't use IE, the number 1 cybersleuth recommended product!?
Couldn't someone just use an audio program (cubase, cakewalk etc) to make a loopback recording, effectively making a non-DRM copy?
This technology seems effective in expiration dates, but ineffective against piracy. Still.
Surely some boffin has already made a name so complex already it's not worth remembering?
So the Carbon-60 lattice of 10 Carbon textrate could be called "Super diamond!" by the press? Sounds adequate?
Diamonds will come down in price?
If we could make a drill out of this new material, doesn't that mean we would have a surplus of diamond to use?
And who gets the dub the name for this material?
Star: "Hey guys, would you rather see all this confedential information we've collected or see me hit a few dingers?"
Citizens: "DINGERS!! DINGERS!!"
Star: *grabs information from evil NorthAmerican Baseball Association printer* "yoink!"
Ninjutsu.
Silly gaijin.
Ah book off.

Sif Japan hates old electronics

Will Humans Swim Faster or Slower in Syrup?
Isn't it pretty obvious that they will swim slower, since they have to displace more liquid to move?
Maybe they were running unix?
And was placed after iTunes? What an outrage! iTunes doesn't allow you to access hidden services!

Apple II != first apple made

I are not! I've just seen hundreds of Mac users claiming they're free from viruses and spyware because they use mac's.
iPod and Mac zealots are now going to proclaim that "iPods don't get viruses!" ?
Very lucky you. Here in Australia, it's technically illegal to video tape things off tv. Despite the fact that VHS is now played off as "dead".

The GPL loves me...
Thats around 570 Australian dollars for us. And we won't get it for around a year and a half.
I'm sure many people have already gotten a certain Hilton ;)
Or maybe it was 'god','sex' or 'secret'? ;)
I bet you don't have the first edition cards though.

Marlon Brando is the godfather?
It's about time to! Who's going to be playing Leila though ;)?
Oh noes! A new epidemic!
