In 2006, the US Congress passed the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act", which mandated $5.5 billion per year to be paid into an account to pre-fund retiree health-care, 75 years into the future.
Since none of USPS's competitors (Fedex, UPS etc) are required to do this, USPS has essentially been setup to fail & then be privatized.
I can't see any successful big ideas which have come out of Google in the last 5 years. The last good big idea was probably Android in 2007 and even that emerged partly from an acquisition. Apple's last good big idea was again in 2007.
Does Chrome still install and run background services on Windows? That's the reason I uninstalled Chrome. A Browser is a client side application. It should start when I start it and stop when I stop it. I see no reason for Chrome to run Windows Services. I uninstalled GTalk also for the same reason.
Did Bing or YahooBing see an increase in traffic when google went down? If yes, how much? Will anyone who used Bing when Google went down think of sticking with Bing or atlease use Bing occasionally?
Even if Firefox OS has support from carriers all over the world, it's pretty hard to sell devices in more locations across the world.
In most places in the world, phones aren't tied to telcos. Phones are sold by phone shops or electronic shops. Telco franchises also sell phones, but this is just a convenience and a very small percentage of the phones are purchaesed from telco franchisees in GSM. These shops also sell connections but this has nothing to do with the phone itself. If you already have a SIM card, you just put into the phone. If you are buying a SIM card from the same shop, you can chose one from any provider and put into the new Phone.
I have never owned an Acer branded product but have owned a Gateway laptop from Acer. 2 Keys broke in the 2nd month - wasn't covered by warranty. The charger slot slipped into the case after 6 months. Repair was covered by warranty but it was a patch-up job - they had to stick something to something.14th month, motherboard developed a problem which required motherboard replacement. Since it was out of warranty, I junked it.
Not going to work - because not enough people will do it. The only way to achieve this creating a worldwide network of Zombie PCs which will run bots to do this.
He also wrote in that article that Microsoft is dead in the desktop market. He said only grandmas use Windows on the desktop or laptops - everyone else uses Macs or Linux.
6 years after the article I think Windows still has 80% OS share in the Desktop laptop market.
It will take a lot to ever convince me that something synthetic can taste the same as something that was alive and running around with blood pumping through its brains and a nervous system that spent time outdoors.
Or you can taste it and see instead of waiting to be convinced.
Also, if I'm allowed to eat test-tube meat, why can't I eat a test-tube baby?
You are allowed to eat meat - hence you are allowed to eat test tube meat.
You are not allowed to eat babies - hence you cannot eat test tube babies.
I attached a football to my smartphone and turned my smartphone into a football.
Does it matter? Not so many people learn the skilled art of riding horses anymore.
XP released more than 12 years ago. Upgrading from XP to a newer version of Windows cannot be called 'reinstall every time a new OS comes out'.

Is 'limited strike' against Syria something like how Osama launched a 'limited strike' against the USA by striking the WTC?
Windows Phones has hit 8% in Europe

And looks like most of the people buying Windows Phones are first time smartphone users. So there is good news for Microsoft.
iPhone has less than 2 in ten. Is that an acceptable number?
The war in Iraq which killed millions wasn't very rational.
That's why I run Linux. There are no trojans in linux.
What's your point - war should be wage only using very expensive and difficult weaponry? Who does that benefit?

If you cannot win in the market, the next step is to win using the law - this is business 101 in the USA today.

Nah - they are fighting for some commercial interests. Their country is paying their salary, though.

So has Gehan Gunasekara already contacted Equador, Russia, Venuzuela or Cuba for his soon to be needed asylum?
Which 'one job' was this? Can you give details? Otherwise I can also make up a lot of stories.

You are not allowed to eat babies - hence you cannot eat test tube babies.
Is this clear enough?
