...the telescope being assembled on the 15,000-foot Sierra Negra in the state of Puebla wont be some kind of Star Wars defense outpost. That's a shame. Puebla does look remarkably similar to Tatooine...
WTF is this article about? Do they bounce or not? I think "bounce like cannonballs" was just a very poor attempt at sarcasm by the scientist. I don't think there's any story here at all really. But I guess that's why I read it first on Slashdot...

In protest of the April Fools insanity, I am replying to all news items with the following... Nothing for you to see here. Please move along.
I just tried it out. It is quite obviously a blatent ripoff of PearPC with a very unstable GUI. Download PearPC 0.4 and use one of the many GUIs made for it. It is much better and much more legal.
From what I understand, JPL only has about 2/3 of the data in. The probability will be updated within the next few days when they get a sufficient amount of data.
At long last, we shall finally know just how much one unit of Libraries of Congress is. This could quite possibly have profound effects on how we understand the universe. For example, for many years we have known that the universe is approximately 42 Libraries of Congress. Now we can fully understand its meaning.
Showing a simulation of a sport with consistently low ratings on a channel with consistently low ratings. It's brilliant! If Ted McGinley was the host, they'd when an Emmy for sure.
You think this isn't news-worthy? Just wait for the dupe. Or better yet, wait for the dupe of this: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/05/03/121720 0

Thank god! Someone took away CmdrTaco's posting rights! This is the best news of the day!
Enough with the April Fools jokes! They're neither believable nor humorous in any way.

Many of the scenes in Star Wars were filmed in Tunisia. None of the films are completely computer generated.
"Doesn't seem very news worthy to me..."
You must be new here.
I think Higher Being is an applicable title for the creator of the internet. Of course I'm kidding. But you can bet he's still pissed at Florida.
My mistake, I meant 10 sq. Gunter's Chains. It's actually 160 sq. rods.
Yeah, Al Gore.
DDDAAAAAMMMNNN!!!
40,000sqf = almost 10 sq. rods!!!!

No thanks. Give me a cheap laptop or tablet with XGA.
Lucky for you, While researching Tablet PCs, I stumbled across the Viewsonic airsync V210. It's pretty much exactly what you described.
