Because christians don't burn down buildings and kill people when you insult their beliefs. *SOME* islamic groups do. Remember the international scandal with the drawings of prophet Muhammad?

It's kinda gross and gory, but... *sniff* oh I can't say anything more! It was horrible! *SOB*
Randi isn't a con-man. He's a skeptic (an atheist one, btw), and has debunked numerous scams who pretended to be psychics. The purpose of his foundation isn't to promote psychics with the million dollar prize, but to prove that there is no such thing as psychics.
That game disturbed the heck out of me. Specially after I had to kill Cybil. I felt like sh*t afterwards. That night I had a nightmare. Equally disturbing was when I played SH2 and I realized that James had murdered Mary.
This isn't like GTA because you really get to empathize with the characters and get into their minds. And then, wham! You're a murderer.
Those games are really screwed up. If you want my advice, don't play them and go to sleep afterwards.
How about this idea - an electrode in your brain, wired to a computer whose output connects to the said muscles. "Artificial nerves", so to speak. On the other hand, that'd make me fear hackers 1000 times more. This could be the perfect plot for a sci-fi horror movie.
ReactOS started as a win95 clone, and yet it incorporates features in Windows XP. It can as well be extended to support vista features (and as we've seen, Vista still has a lot of the XP kernel code). IIRC there's a feature request in ReactOS for virtualization.
I hope that with the recent events happening in Europe, Microsoft will be forced to document the API for Windows Vista, so ReactOS can be more competition.
Most people DON'T need the latest advancements in the Windows OS, they just want it to do their spreadsheets and letter writing. Many of those still use Win98, they don't have the money to upgrade to XP, and with the support dropped for 98, they might as well conform the perfect userbase for ReactOS.
And with the ghost of Genuine Advantage approaching, i think ReactOS will make its debut just in time. When it's finished, the people who are using pirated copies of XP will probably switch instantly.
Because, why stick with a (buggy and virus-prone) pirated version of Windows, when you can have a legal one, for the same price (free)?:)
Funny you mention swords. In the TV show "Batman of the Future" there's this assassin girl called Curare, whose sword had an edge 1 atom thick and could slash through any material known to man.
My only question is... with a sword so sharp, why the heck doesn't the sword sheathe break apart? Does it have a one atom thick clip or what?
Geocities is a kinda abandoned place (So much that webcomics make fun of it). There's no customer service, everything's automated there. The only thing that (I hope) isn't, is the "report offensive page" etc. The only change done to it was aesthetic and in the code. But the infrastructure remains.
In other words, geocities servers do NOT have personnel searching and identifying phishing sites on them. They have to rely on the users.
(This and popup ads led to the fall of free homepages. Most pages now are categorized in specialized sites: webcomics, blogs, art, fiction, and with youtube, videos).
This was bound to happen sooner or later. Yahoo neglected geocities, is it a mystery that it became a meeting point for illegal activities?
Yes, but this is matter of "National Security". After all the brawl on wiretapping, they can't take "National Security" that lightly. If they take it back (Open Source, i mean), the DoD is going to lose A LOT of credibility.

So what does it say about writing down all the dialogue in the game?
I just tried it. A mysterious metallic character appears in front of Link, and says:
Hello, there! It looks like you're trying to write down the entire dialogue! Would you like to know more about...
* copyright infringement,
* videogame addiction,
* psychiatric help?
I can only imagine what that roaming charge looks like.
:)
I'm sure it's "billions and billions".
Instead of dropping nukes, drop free, registered copies of Windows Vista. The problem will take care of itself.
...undermining the nations critical information infrastructure
NO!!! NOT CABLE TV!!!! *cries*

Scientists go to the North Pole to build a Doomsday Vault, only to find such a vault is already there.
Just don't tell me it's full of toys and elves.
wasn't aware that "Academic Freedom" meant sucking up as much resources as you can use.
How much is much? As much as the congress? As much as SPAM? As much as the MAFIAA (TM)? As much as George Bush?
The fact that the professor was threatened er... given "friendly advice" is the very reason for promoting even more privacy.
>This patenting is getting way out of hand!
:D
Out of hand, eh? Easy solution! Invent an upside-down patent system!

...is there video of Stallman throwing a chair?
A barber chair, perhaps.

What did they expect with version 0.3.0? It's not even Beta quality yet.
is it too late? With Vista coming out soon
:)

If you think that squirrel was offensive, then you're nothing but a noob.

It's so emotional that it's worthy of a blog entry! Have you considered opening a myspace account? :P
report the webpage and you're done.

I keep idly wondering how long it's going to be before the statement "same-sex couples can't have biological children" is no longer true.
:)
Yes, but they'll still require a machine and scientists doing the work. The natural reproduction method is much more economical, and it's built-in

Bring the fireworks!
Helium is an inert gas which doesn't trigger any dangerous response in the body. Also remember that helium is one of the gases used in diver tanks.
