Dammit you ruined it!, I was trying to avoid finding out who won the election for 4 years so that under uncertainty theory the result would just remain unknown uintil we had a new president.
Does it give you the right to post naked pictures of everyone who doesn't walk around in aluminum foil wraps?
But what about the people who do walk around in tin foil? You know theres gotta be at least one sick perv somewhere who has a people wrapped in tin foil fetish site.
Either way its still a good point. Seriously, who really gives a duck what some random dude who happens to work in the mailroom at microsoft say's. Basicaly there was just no real news to report on. Please move along, nothing to see here.
From ibiblio.org, figured I'd save a few of you some time.
TRIADIC THEORY
Finding its origins in the work of the late-19th century American philosopher C.S. Peirce, triadic theory is concerned with the unique nature of human language as a "space-time" event qualitatively different from all other known phenomena of nature. More precisely, while modern scientists are readily accustomed to studying nature from a cause-and-effect (or "dyadic") vantage point, the "language event" itself cannot be reduced solely to such terms. For as explained by language philosopher Walker Percy (1916-1990), symbolization at root involves *three* irreducible variables: the "symbol-user," the "symbol," and its "referent." Human language, therefore, fundamentally being a process involving "triads," cannot be explained from a cause-and-effect model; rather it supercedes traditional scientific methodology in ways that fully have yet to be appreciated.
Triadic theory is a part of the scientific discipline known as "semiotics," which is concerned with the systematic study of signs (or symbols) and their meaning. Needless to say, the theory and the discipline both have key insights to offer current explorations into the complex nature of human consciousness.
Congratulations Mr. Coward!, I didn't think this was possible, but I think that you have actually managed to drag the whole soviet russia thing even further down into the pit of shame than it already is. That or I just didn't get it, but I've thought about it for a minute and I'm pretty sure it just blew.
I wish that I thought of that. As long as he doesn't submit BS it's fine with me. News goes through plenty enough rehashings before before it ever gets printed anyway.
Bullshit or not he is getting a free ad and I'd bet that that fact did not go unnoticed by him before he decided to post it. A pretty damm good free ad to if you consider the hits/clickthroughs I'm sure it will get. There's gotta be a least a few people who still RTFA.
joe is a sheep, you tell him what to do. he does it
Excatly. You explain to joe sixpack that he (scare him into thinking that he) needs this or he will get hacked and have his identity stollen or something, and that NX turbo supersheild max-blaster technology is the only way that he can stop it and then joe says "oh shit!" and goes and buys them for his whole family.
Yet 90% of windows users have never heard of the registry, and have never had to learn what it is. It's a mess, but a mess thats swept neatly under the rug. Personally I think it's really one or the other, efficiency and real control of your system, or idiot proofness.
If any linux distro actually 'really' get somewhat easy to 'use' (not just "look! it comes with openoffice and gimp already installed! because we know that thats all you use a computer for, and oh ya, by the way until you configure it and install a bunch of extra packages/plugins/codecs with weird names that you don't know you need until you try to do something, and oh ya to be able to use this/install this you need to setup blah blah blah, but theres no package so you have to compile and install it yourself, but don't worry theres directions!, unless your not using version 2.3.0.x.x.x and this distro, then you have to find specific directions for your system and config because each of a gazillion setups do it in a slightly different but criticaly important way, so go hunt around on the net for a few days until you find somewhere that has acurate info, then try it out and hope it doesn't wreck your system, then you can use said program just like that! What you can't compile it? oh ya we never told you this but you must install the kernel-source, but oops thats version 2.6.10 that the packkage manager automatically installed but your running 2.6.12 and theres no source package for that, ok its installed, ok now just go learn how too fix all of these things called sym-links, and make sure its 'excactly' right!, good job you did it! oops now your sound wont work for some reason try this, oops systems trashed better luck next time!
I do love linux and now that I've been using it for a few months I see how it really is pretty easy to do stuff, and things are how they are for a reason. It just takes a while of trial and error and web searching to get to know it.
The problem isn't that it's that complicated it's that there are so many basic little tidbits of info that you need to know to do anything that all the books and tutorials never mention or just assume, which someone who just switched from windows would have no fucking way in hell of knowing about.
By the time any distro 'truly' could get past those issues the result will be so windofied that that it might make me cry. It's not that I don't want it to be easy to use, it's that I don't wan't all the crap that comes along with it, and I'm willing to learn a few things, and spend a little time to avoid that crap.
When I heard about the tsunami one of the the first things I thought about was if he was alright, and I'm glad to know he's fine. Ya I know thousands of other people died and that sucks but none of them are my favourite author.
So you got something against us people who spit when they talk huh? Don't make me micro-kick you in your nanoballs buddy (or some non-violent alternative)!
when Microsoft insists on not losing a sale, so they distribute Windows and Office to a big customer at no fee
hahahahahaha, good one; don't you mean when the next Windows comes out a big customers computers all seem to not be able to use the web because some new 'security' ''feature'' in frontpage wont let them view pages because they can't authorize your 'digital security signature' or something. Of course there will be workarounds but then all your point-and-click superiours will say "what? I'm not digitally secure so I have to hack into webpages to view them? screw this!"
Will microsoft give them a sweet deal?, possibly, will they give it away free, or sell it and give support for free?, I hope I live to see the day.
Dammit you ruined it!, I was trying to avoid finding out who won the election for 4 years so that under uncertainty theory the result would just remain unknown uintil we had a new president.
No, It's that he didn't get the joke. The fact that it wasn't funny is a completely other matter.
Mayday Mayday! this is slashball 1, we've been hit hit! with rasberry's!!
Oh come on, Canadas not even a real country.
But what about the people who do walk around in tin foil? You know theres gotta be at least one sick perv somewhere who has a people wrapped in tin foil fetish site.

I for one welcome our new invisible transexual goo sproogging concern causing overlords.
I wish that I thought of that. As long as he doesn't submit BS it's fine with me. News goes through plenty enough rehashings before before it ever gets printed anyway.
Great, so now the world will be overrun by an invisible self-replicating goo instead of that old grey stuff.
You could get an air condioner.
Cool it with liquid nitrogen and overclock the hell out of it!
