1. GEICO vs Google Ads: Google Wins on GEICO vs Google Ads: Google Wins · · Score: 0

Frawress Victoly!

2. Sony, can't even get MP3 right! on How Sony's HD Audio Player Falls Short · · Score: 1

I'm guessing they made the MP3 sound bad so that people would think ATRAC would be the better sounding format.

3. Still no indication of battery life on PSP Opened up and Exposed · · Score: 4, Interesting

I think we can safely say the PSP sports graphics and games equal or greater than what the Nintendo DS offers.
However, the deciding factor for many would-be buyers (myself included) is still the battery life, and not one article says anything about it.

4. Some help needed here... on The Illiteracy of Corporate American E-Mail · · Score: 2, Funny

Looks like they need some help from the Bad Boys of Punctuation!

5. Re:INDIA? on Canadian iTunes Music Store Opens · · Score: 1

I'm not being ignorant.

According to the CIA World Fact Book:
English enjoys associate status but is the most important language for national, political, and commercial communication; Hindi is the national language

I based my statement on the national language of countries.
I thought Afrikaans was the language of South Africa, and I just plain forgot about lil' old Liberia!

6. Aussie ITMS on Canadian iTunes Music Store Opens · · Score: 4, Interesting

Please Apple. Please.

Australia/NZ now are the last English-speaking countries not to get iTunes so I hope we get it soon (as in the next 6 months).

9. Re:What MMO's really need on Jack Emmert Responds to Your Questions · · Score: 1

Diablo 2 Hardcore mode is the answer to your question. In Hardcore mode, a death is permanent and you lose everything in that character.

Plenty of Hardcore players have reached the maximum level of 99 and those who reach that plateau the quickest get rewarded by Blizzard.

10. Wake-On-LAN on Hacking The DS's Wireless · · Score: 5, Interesting

I hope somebody finds a way to hack WoL capability for the DS.

I thought one of the best things about these new handhelds (PSP included) was that you could play people you didn't know by just 'beeping' them whenever they were in range.

17. Typo spotted. on NASA Quakesim Predicts 15 Out of 16 CA Quakes · · Score: 2, Funny

Quakesim is obviously a typo of Maxis' new game SimQuake.

AFAIK it's a game where you control a Quake junkie. I've heard you get bonus points for getting the best mouse and mousepads but beware the "upgrade cycle" event which will dock your player some valuable dollars everytime a new version of Quake is released.

18. Re:POP 3 on Gmail Adds Features · · Score: 1

POP3 needn't be to tied to one computer.

One time I was really desperate to check my POP email so I hopped into the nearest Internet Cafe, fired up Outlook Express and then entered in my POP account details. Once I got and read my mail, I just deleted my account details. Note that this isn't the most security-conscious thing to do, but like I said, I was desperate!

Also, I told Outlook to leave the messages on the server (rather than delete once it had received them) so I could go back home and receive it again and download it to my home computer.

19. Unlimited! on 100 GB Email Account · · Score: 2, Interesting

I think we'll see the first unlimited e-mail accounts being offered very soon...

100GB is basically 'unlimited' to the average email user anyway. Now I'm just waiting for the next company to offer true unlimited servce.

24. Info from page on Kite Aerial Photography · · Score: 2, Interesting

I've been interested in photography for as long as I can remember, and kite aerial photography (KAP) seemed like a natural progression. At least it did after my friend, Thomas Dewez, convinced me that it isn't completely ridiculous to suspend an $800 camera from a kite. After seeing the potential in online galleries, I knew that I had to do this! I spent a few months researching equipment, technique, etc. before diving in. I had not flown a kite since I was a kid, so I'm learning as I go...

These web pages will serve as a photo gallery of select images, as well as a general information source on equipment, technique, and other related info. Be sure to see my 360 virtual reality (VR) panoramas taken from a kite's eye view. They might take a while to load (depending on your connection speed), but it should be worth the wait.

25. Still no Bluetooth Samsung on Samsung Introduces Phone With Hard Drive · · Score: 2, Interesting

I really really want to like Samsung phones. They have a really good combination of style and functionality yet all (but maybe a handful) of their handsets don't feature Bluetooth.

It seems they are the only cellphone manufacturer that doesn't want to support Bluetooth. If they had it in their handsets, I'm sure more phonegeeks would purchase them - I know I would, as I'd instantly hand over cash for something like the Samsung E715 with Bluetooth functionality.
