Not exactly what you were looking for, but at least on the macbook air the SSD doesnt seem to improve performance, but there are other reasons to get SSDs besides peformance. For starters, you can create a laptop with almost no moving parts, which can be very nice for certain environments. Plus, the SSD is less likely to have a catastrophic crash than traditional hds(provided you aren't doing an inordinate amount of writes, all the more reason to have as much ram as possible!)
Seriously, the best way to overcome that fear is to look at them while they are giving you the shot. It takes all the surprise out and you can prepare mentally for it...... this is of course assuming you don't have a rational medical fear of shots(you are allergic to some of the stuff they put in most shots etc.)
To make sure you had a legit copy to begin with. Even though they charge you for the replacement, they still are probably losing money on the venture as they have to have staff and facilities to maintain the program. Not cheap.
They did it for Starcraft too.... Blizzard probably realized that:
a) These things are so common nowadays that anyone who is going pirate the game can easily find one and
b) They save money in the long run by having to replace significantly less discs as they get old, dirty, and scratched.
From TFA: And because you work in a Web browser, they're cross-platform applications by default:
At work we are going through some issues because Apple decided to deprecate Quicktime for Java and now we are scrambling to find a replacement that will work on Windows and Macs. However, honestly writing cross-platform apps that play movies and deal with databases and lots of networked files isn't trivial to make cross platform, but it might be pretty easy if we went to the web. Is this the future direction for "cross-platform" applications?

Google already does that for their ads. I'm an American living in Germany who also has friends in Japan that I coorespond with in Japanese. I get ads in English, German, and Japanese(in fact I get ads in Japanese offering to teach me English and/or German....) so if they can determine the language for the ads, then they should be able to use it for spam.... at least if you get an email in a language that isn't in your outbox it should trigger something..
8 hours? I want to work where you work! Seriously, at least in the US, the insanely long hours, total lack of respect, and having to watch as the idiot "manager" gets tons of money while the scientist/engineer, while not doing bad, isn't making nearly as much despite doing all the work is probably a bigger turn off for women(and many men for that matter) than almost anything else.
God damnit, before I read about that last game I was set on NOT getting a PS3, why do almost all the good tactical games have to be on Sony consoles?(The PSP is much better than the DS in this genre too...)
It has been a den of thieves for all but the most esoteric items for a while(try searching for xbox or iPhone, I bet you will come up with more scams than normal auctions) and ebay has shown that as long it collects fees it doesn't really give a rats ass about anything else. This is just further icing on the cake. Ebay thinks that people will not go anywhere else, so they don't have to police their network, they don't have to treat their sellers fairly and they can force paypal down our throats and we will just sit there and take it. Its been a looooooooooong time since I bought anything off ebay and I would have to be pretty desperate to find something before I would even consider using it again.
but if it's another iPhone user, you could coordinate with them via SMS to use instant messaging instead.
Or you could just....email them? They will have push email, and I assume if they have an iphone they have an email address, so why not just use that instead of creating these elaborate schemes....
about said genetic abnormalities? I have one that caused me(and my brother) to be born with 6 fingers and toes, we had surgery as infants to correct the abnormality, but obviously the code is still in my genes. How would one go about telling someone that they wanted to have kids with about a genetic abnormality? Or should you wait until after the bun is in the oven so to speak....

Nah, it really sucks for the guy whose license plate is pi sans the decimal
No one takes that much time to point out flaws in a product that they completely loathe and despise.
:P
Then I guess all the Windows bashers are secret Vista users, including myself

I dunno, Batman with a bowl hair cut and a squeaky voice just doesn't seem that intimidating.....

will show how processor bugs can be exploited using certain instruction sequences and a knowledge of how Java compilers work
Huh? Javascript != Java!!!!

Just one question: Where in the hell are you finding hot, horny accountants?
Certainly not at the H&R Block....
I would have waited until AFTER Dick Cheney left the White House to be seen buying Uranium....esp. with all that oil you have up there......
