ING Direct bank does something like this for logins. There are a series of numbered icons in the same pattern every time, but they have a random map of letters assigned to them. You can click the icons or enter in the corresponding letter sequence if you are extra paranoid.
Example:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
map:
P G M
R C W
Q Y K
Note these are together on the same icons.
If my pin is "12345", I can click the icons with my mouse, or enter in "PGMRC" into a text box. You are not allowed to enter numbers in the box.
If 802.11b/g works for me, why would I upgrade? Don't be a consumer whore just because some shiny new wireless protocol comes out... stick with what you have unless it sucks.
Radiologists would never settle for the poor image quality in these projectors for volumetric CT scans. I can see it happening within 10 years though (I work in the CT industry).
See this company. They are a bit bulky and loud, but a nice package all around. They even have a hardware lock-out with key combination which is pretty neat. Expensive suckers, though.
This is no surprise. Everyone already has at least one desktop. With the falling prices of laptops, people are getting into mobile- and couch-computing. I just got a laptop (PowerBook G4) and now I barely use my PC. It's just more convenient most of the time.
I think this will probably work as long as the processes don't have very large memory footprints. When I experimented with openMosix I seem to remember that processes took a bit of time to migrate, so you have to be careful not to get stuck migrating a bunch of 1 GB processes over the network. I suppose you could stick them in a do-nothing loop for a few seconds at the beginning before doing real work.
This doesn't change the fact that Verizon is an evil, evil company that you should avoid at all cost. Verizon's support infrastructure is useless, and they're so large that the individual customers aren't considered important anymore.

You probably don't want to use toothpaste with a whitening agent in it though, since this is an abrasive and will probably scratch the CD even more.
Anyone else think of condoms when they saw "trojan" and "porn", or is my mind just in the gutter?
I thought maybe this had something to do with Boink (NSFW), the local Boston magazine with nekked Boston University people. Ah well.
Oh, you mean linux DRIVERS. Yeah... still unlikely :-)
Unlikely considering ATI cards only support 24-bit floating point.

First we get clones of the original iMac. Now this? Doesn't anyone besdies Apple come out with new concepts anymore?
Have you actually seen hollow metal support frames on suitcases? And what is your point about shoes?
Woops, that should have gone under WankersRevenge's post about the redneck neighbor. It's still too early in the morning.

But will he ban Gore-y movies?
This is unfair and unethical business practice. It should be illegal. Send your comments to AOL at this page.
I don't see why they exclude people that haven't downloaded AIM updates after a certain date. Does that mean I can get an old client and be excluded?
Where's Philedelphia? Is it near Philadelphia?
To clafiry, you will want to consider replacement of the fans, not your genitals. The latter is an expensive procedure.
