They estimate pirated copies and assume they could've gotten the cash for them if they had been protected well enough...well they wouldn't have gotten the cash for the reasons stated above.
All there doing is making the case for moving to open source even better. Why pay?
And who runs the corporation? People like you and me? I don't think so. Corporations *are* run by people but the concept takes a life of its own, it's driven by profit margins.
I don't think it's too much of a stretch to see businesses as "entities". Our government is no longer run by the people because "the people" don't participate (not enough any how) but lobbyist for corporations do participate and get paid quite well. So laws are passed favoring business over the good of people. You may not see it now (I don't know why because it's apparent) but you will before too long.
There just isn't enough room to say everything here, but watch what happens with this...it won't pass, it will be tossed aside because it cuts into cable companies profits etc.
But hell no, M$ has shown an amazing lack of understanding in the past 15 years in security, customer needs and wants. The name Google means "easy and fast" or "accurate" The name Microsoft means "insecure" and "ineffective".
The less time you spend in front of the TV, which has little to no redeeming value, the better. I got my current job on the Inet, I met my current GF on the Inet, I meet with people on a local IRC channel and once or twice a month we have parties where we all get together and meet "face to face" If anything I am better off financially, socially and intellectually. TV? For fucks sake people it's crap and sucks your brain out. If nothing else at least the Inet involves some degree of interaction...the TV does not.
To censor and control the last bastion of free speech. Since the only news show worth watching any more is The Daily Show it's obvious we can't rely on the news media any longer.

I hope this isn't to far off topic. I wonder what the long term effects for RFID under the skin would be, anyone seen anything on this? With that kind of focus of energy consistently in one area...well hmmm.
Tie the radios together with a central Internet feed and you could have the same station all over the world (or at least all over the state) I would think if they are cheap enough and not covered by FCC someone should jump on this...maybe call it "Rebel Radio" =)
