  1. Re:Its GPL licenced, someone should fork it. on NoScript Adds Subscriptions To Adblock Plus · · Score: 5, Interesting

Why does noscript need to be updated that often, if ever? What happens in these updates anyway? I honestly cannot tell the difference in functionality in noscript now and when I first downloaded it a few years ago. Someone should fork it, strip out the crap, and then never update it again (except security fixes, etc.)

  2. Re:$1500 headphones on How $1,500 Headphones Are Made · · Score: 1

The 60-80 dollar range seems to be a "sweet spot" for headphones. Grado's SR-60s are $70 and the best headphones under $100 I've listened to. More expensive ones can be better, but you quickly run into diminishing returns.

IANAL, so could someone explain to me how it makes any sense that he was found guilty of first degree murder when no one can even prove that Nina is dead? Maybe a lesser charge such as manslaughter, but I think that the fact that the prosecution cannot definitely say that she is dead should be enough for reasonable doubt.

Back when I had 512MB of memory, I had a 512MB swap partition, but I noticed that I never came close to using all of it.

When I got my new machine with 1G, I never bothered to make one at all, and I've never had a problem with it. If I do ever find myself in a situation where I need some swap space, I could always just create a swap file. It's a lot more convinient because it wouldn't have to be a fixed size, doesn't take up space when I don't need it, and I have one less partition

Especially if you have 2G or more, I don't see a real reason to use swap

Sure it does. Go to about:config->general.useragent. There you can edit it to whatever you want. Sure, it's not as easy as in Opera where you can do it from the menu, but this gives you more control (you can only choose from a list in Opera, not make it whatever you want, IIRC)

Nintendo loses money on each GC made and sold. Do you really think they can make and distrubte them for $100? They make the money from the royalties companies pay. So, if you buy a GC and then pirate all the games, you're making Nintendo's profits going down more than if you hadn't bought it. Yes, maybe more people will buy games, but I get the feeling that there will be more people pirating than people only getting a GC because it allows pirating and then buying games legally.
