  7. Don't talk trash on one of my favorite games on Don't Go Down Memory Lane? · · Score: 1

Castlevania 1 is one of the best games of all time. I spent a long time trying to get good at it, and so far I've been able to kill the first form Dracula without dying. Just try that and see if you can do it. Boomerangs are good for every stage's boss except the first where you can't get it. Castlevania 1 is timeless especially if you try and speed run it. Whats worse is that there is a harder 2nd stage to it after you kill both Dracula's forms. I've made it there, but not on one life. Today's modern games are a snorefest to me. WOW? Grind until you're 60, and roll some dice for who gets special equipment in raid dungeons? No thanks, that requires no skill at all. I want a MMOG that requires action skill to play.

What is the online brokerage that has the cheapest broker's fees? As a little guy(sub $1000), I would like to invest, and dabble in day trading, but the brokers fees on all the sites I've found are nearly the same as if you contacted a live broker. It would make sense for someone to undercut the competition, but I don't know of any sites that have done this.

I view Evolution as God's tool. The days in the Genesis account were days of God, and not days of man. It's said in other places in the bible that a day of God is longer than a day of man. Besides what is a day when the sun isn't even in existance? I envision God sculpting the species over billions of years by using Evolution as a tool. God gave a small account of how he created the universe, but its also eloquent. Science will change in the next 1000 years shattering our notion of the universe, but the Genesis account will never change.

  12. What I liked so much about the first on Sam & Max, Back From the Dead · · Score: 2, Insightful

Will be in the 2nd. I completed the first Sam and Max mostly smoothly and didn't get stuck on many puzzles. It was the only adventure game that didn't piss me off that I couldn't solve a puzzle. Now we have the internet, so if I do get stuck in the sequel, I can always look up the answer off the net. To me, the internet makes adventure games playable. I half think adventure games were made obscenely hard just to get people to buy the walk through guides.

  13. Want to be scared even further? on UCSD Biometric Vending Machine · · Score: 0

Paying for stuff via your hand or forehead is rekoned to the Mark of the Beast which damns you to Hell. Revelation 13:16 The beast forced all the people, small and great, rich and poor, slave and free, to have a mark placed onm their right hands or on their foreheads. 13:17 No one could buy or sell unless he had this mark, that is the beast's name or the number that stands for his name.

Now, I must confess that while I know God exists, I do not know the man's name that stands for 666, nor do I think that your God given fingerprint is a mark. I'm just saying that its dangerously close to what may come in the future. Personally I am not an apolocolyptic style theologian. I think people should come to God out of love for him and fellow man. I'm just posting that there is much to be afraid of here.

  17. Evolution: God's tool on Stem Cells - The Hope and the Hype · · Score: 1

If you don't take a day of God as a literal day, it could be billions of years. After all, what is a day when the sun hasn't even been brought into existance? And there are other quotes in the bible that a day of God is longer than a day of man, quotes I'm too lazy to look up right now. Yes, God made plants before he made the sun, but he made light before the sun and plants. Evolution is quite compatible with the Bible if you view a day of God's time as millions or billions of years and God sculpting the animals and plants as he saw fit along the way. Now man was made after everything else was made on Earth, so God had a good picture of the world that he was going to place man in, and what man should be like. It's quoted that God made man out of soil so that nixes the idea that man came from monkeys. I could go on in deep detail about how Evolution could be a tool that God used across a long period of time, but this is just a Slashdot post, and besides it's off topic from the article.

The snake is symbolic of sin because it is how sin came into the world. It's just how God did it, if you get bit by a snake that God sent to plague the Israelites, look at the snake on the cross and be healed. Now later Jesus took sin's power out of the world by taking it out with his death on the cross. There are many things in the Old Testament that are predictions of Messiah's coming. There are many things Jesus fulfilled that were not even claimed to be predictions of Messiah.
