  9. Caught on? on Would John Kerry Defang the DMCA? · · Score: 1

Has anyone caught on the Kerry does not really seem to understand the job of President of the United States? Listening to his speeches makes me choke, he talks about going into Russia and finding their nuclear waste... What authority does he have to do that?

He talks about how we don't have our allies for the war, when in reality, we do have allies, althoguh we are missing some nations

Let me take this moment to thank all of those serving in the US Military overseas, all the countries helping the US in the war, and to all the soldiers of those countries.

I know I wouldnt be all to happy to help Kerry if I was a US ally and he kept saying I did not exist.

Kerry talks about creating laws as president, although in reality this is his job as a senator (now if he had shown up for work, maybe he would have realized that)

Bush may not be your ideal, but he makes a decision to the best of his knowledge, and he STICKS with the decision that he makes. He shows some signs of leadership while Kerry might as well be a lemming.

I saw this somewhere, probably here in the form of someones sig, but I think it is important to say again...

"While you may not agree with Bush's decision, but you must agree that he has the ability to make a decision"

(yes this has been modified, but the general idea is the same)

Horrible Solution. My school is currently set up so that we can not right click, and we can not write to the C: drive we can not change ANYTHING. I do realize this is good for them, but there are other ways. Combined with this, they are also very cheap and have recently purchased new licenses for Turbo C++ (no they havent made a new version in awhile). Every time start up, Turbo complains with about 20 errors and warnings about not being able to create temporary files. (Not warnings as in compiler warnings, but the wonderful, Click OK, with no other option warnings)

From what I understand, using a ModChip is not illegal, neither is installing one. Making or buying a modchip may be another story. Using the modchip to do illegal things is obvciosly illegal, but it would not be illegal to use said modchip to play a DVD without the remote control kit, or to check your email while your XBOX is running Linux. By installing Linux without a modchip (MechAssault etc. ) you avoid the issue of even purchasing a modchip.

  16. CD MP3 players? on Holiday Competition For iPod Dollars · · Score: 1

I have always been a fan of the CD MP3 players. You can store a fair amount of music (more then an equally priced flash ram based MP3 player) plus you have the ability to carry multiple CDs, AND usually they run on standard AA batterys. Now if they could improve on these, perhaps one using DVDs you could have a cheap MP3 player capable of playing large amounts of DVDs (although they would be fairly large.) And come to think of it, the battery life on my player is considerably longer then the iPods or any of my flash ram mp3 players. (bought 2 several years ago, after my first CD style was stolen, and did not like them)
