    HP has two class A's, one from way back when, and one when they acquired Compaq who previously got DEC's class A.

    HP can't need that many IP4 addresses.

    What does the teen learn from this "good idea"? That the parents have no trust in the teen? That cars of the future will have this type of restriction for everyone? That the teen does not have to be responsible because the car will prevent him/her from doing anything bad?

    I can't wait to see the lawsuits this will generate.

    Cattle will follow the lead cow who takes them where they want to go. Therein is the flaw to the plan. If the identified leader follows the commands of the cowboys and goes where the other cattle do not want to go, will the other cattle then continue to follow that leader?

    Right now, it's 9 cents a track which adds up, when you sell 2.4 billion tracks each year.

    It is not as much the total yearly cost, but more the cost per song that Apple sells for $0.99 a pop. The additional royalty charge may just make a song cost more to Apple than Apple can recoup from selling it.

    There certainly seems to be a lot of whining by a vocal few who feel entitled to access to the iPhone. I especially enjoy the whining of people who have their apps disallowed. The reasons for the app rejection were well known, if only they had read the developers' agreement with Apple that they had agreed to before they started developing their apps.

    They are worth exactly zero dollars. HP does not own those IP addresses. HP was allocated the ability to use that IP address space.

    When HP acquired Compaq, HP also got DEC's /8 block of IP4 addresses. Now HP has at least two /8 blocks of IP4 addresses.

    C'mon HP, be a good netizen and give back the bulk of those IP addresses. Try using NAT instead of hoarding IP addresses that others so desperately need.

    No matter how much lipstick you put on DRM, it is still DRM.

    The problem with DRM is that DRM requires a server out on the Internet to give me permission to listen to the music, or to watch the movies, I have purchased. Without that server, the content I purchase are little more than a random collection of useless data bits.

    Look at those people who foolishly bought into Microsoft's DRM for music. In a short while, Microsoft will be turning off the DRM server, and all the music thus "protected" by Microsoft's DRM will be unusable.

    Do you really want to give the RIAA an on/off switch for your ability to listen to your media collection?

    I often hear awful tales about rebate issues regarding Tiger. I avoid refurb and rebate items for that reason

    Just as with TigerDirect messing up refurbs and rebates, they also mess up anything when the order process does not go perfectly smoothly. In other words, whenever you have to deal with a human customer service person at TigerDirect, you might as well do a charge-back on your credit card.

    When TigerDirect works, it works well. You have successfully avoided the times when TigerDirect does not work.

    Consider yourself lucky.
