Let me fix that for you:

Except now that the Catholic Church is no longer the most powerful organization in the world, does not have a monopoly on Christianity, and still has lots and lots of money, you don't actually have to give the Catholic Church anything and they won't even threaten you with eternal damnation. Tithing is not required, indulgences are a thing of the past.

The Catholic Church enjoyed a monopoly on Christianity in part because it was damn expensive to reproduce books and most people couldn't read latin even if they had a copy. This gave them control over everyone who didn't want to go to hell. And they made damn sure everyone didn't want to go to hell.

The Church of Scientology doesn't have that luxury. Most people are literate, the information is in the common language (actually, I'm guessing more than one), and books are cheap to reproduce. So they have to use legal means to establish their monopoly. But they are using the same basic formula as the Catholic Church to control members and gain money.

Yes, but they weren't proper and secure transactions. Why should the account holder be culpable for the bank's failure to protect itself from fraud?

To your second point, I agree. Someone who has so much money that they don't notice an average of $20,000 per month missing from what is apparently a very active account should probably hire an accountant. For that much money you can get a very good one and apparently still have enough money left over that you will come out ahead.

A bank account is a loan to the bank in exchange for money or services. If the bank is defrauded out of some money, why is it the account holder who loses out?

If someone claims to be my bank and tricks me into giving them $200, can I deduct that amount from my next car payment?

Really think about what has happened here. Person A loans Person B $100. Person C tells Person B that Person A owes them $100, so if Person B pays Person C $100 everyone will be square. Person B obliges not realizing Person C is lying. Is Person A the one out $100?! He had no control over the actions of Person C or Person B!

    I have some conditions:

I would only live there if the ziggurat itself was owned by the public and maintained with taxes. The public spaces, police department, fire department, and etc should all be cared for by the 'city'. I don't want to live in a huge gigantic apartment complex "cared for" by some corporation. Apartment complexes suck enough without the added problem of having to leave the _city_ in order to get away from a bad landlord.

I would want to be able to own, buy, and sell "land" in the ziggurat the same way I can own, buy, and sell real land, condos, and etc.

Here's the problem: Ohio is free to spend its electoral votes as it sees fit. So this problem is essentially internal to Ohio. As a Californian, I certainly can't effect change in Ohio. The best I can do is to push my own representatives to pass federal laws governing election standards.

However, in my opinion, the fact that an election in Ohio can have such a profound effect on me in California is the deeper problem. This is indicative of a federal government which has too much power. So I am hesitant to promote any new federal law which grants power to the federal government at the expense of state government.

First, use a secondary ID to link accounts together. If there is no secondary ID, one is generated and sent as a cookie. If the user logs in as any other user that user gets the ID set by the cookie, thus the two (or more) accounts are linked. All IP addresses that so much as view anonymously with this ID are linked to the ID and thus to the accounts.

Now shadowban all the accounts, IP addresses, and the secondary ID itself.

If they log in as another account that is already linked, they will see the post.
If they visit from an IP address that is already linked, they will see the post.
If they visit with a browser which contains a cookie with the secondary ID, they will see the post.

This is not perfect and there are ways around it, but most trolls won't figure it out and even if they do a single mistake links their accounts/IP addresses forever.
