When you can infringe on someone's right to live (by crashing into them) the government can step in. Studies have shown that accidents are much more likely to happen when driving, therefore it is a reasonable measure to reduce/eliminate this.

If you want to talk on the phone while you're driving, pull over. You can still use it "where and when" you want to, you'll just need to not be moving at speed that can kill someone.

I am a current CS student in a University program, and from what I've learned already (and, yes, I've done some web stuff including a couple firefox plugins) is that web dev will probably be the next evolution of computing. I think you'll find that over the next decade that large scale offline solutions to many problems will be migrated to a web based program. I mean, we can see this happening with the so-called cloud computing. Right now it seems kind of a buzz, but if/when it becomes an accepted part of business culture, almost everyone will need to be a web developer to a certain extent, if not completely.

If anything, a programmer's greatest asset will be his/her ability to keep up with the trends in such a fast moving technology

Caveat emptor is not english either. Caveat is latin for warning. See Wikipedia. So when someone says "with some caveats in strong magnetic fields" it is technically incorrect. Since "with some warnings in strong magnetic fields" isn't what he intended to say. However, caveat can be used correctly on its own. E.g. He entered the cave dispite his companion's caveat.

Could a combination of these two technologies produce a more efficient HD. Let's say you used the HDD for writing data and then during idle time have the newly written data copied over to the SSD. Then one could read from the faster SSD. That way you would get the faster reading and writing speeds of each technology. I suppose that this however would be more expensive, but if the SSD were optimized for retrieval of data instead of storing, maybe this could be optimized further.

I think the Green parties in Europe are a little more progressive than simply shouting like a bunch of green peace protesters that the environment is dying and such. No one gets elected on a single policy therefore they have learned to diversify and adopt policies in other areas, other than just the environment and health, that will possibly indirectly affect the environment, or at least allow the government more resources to help it. Plus, any political party that refuses to ignore any issues that aren't considered their central policy would be shooting themselves in the foot. They need to be aware of what the public wants, and more importantly what the laws are and their effects, especially if they want to be a real contender in parliament.

So in fact the license expires as soon as you remove the content. From reading some of the other posts here, it seems that Facebook tries to make a difference between "removing" material and "deactivating" material. I guess if all you do is "deactivate" you account, you're technically not removing it and thus Facebook retains its license, so one must remove their material. If Facebook then retains that information, I would say they are then in violate of copyright.
