More seriously, I think arguments about how screwed you are when you lose your internet connection sound a bit like arguments That Crazy Old Man used to make about electricity, and why those new-fangled electric gadgets were never going to catch on.
That argument is flawed. Crazy Old Men ranting about electricity is completely different. People rely on their computers, especially in this time=money world.
People weren't commonly using electricity, so they had nothing to lose by trying it (or not trying it for that matter). But as other arguments are saying, that the internet will be as reliable as ever with very little down time, to remove this problem, then it seems like this remote OS could work; Of course this is ignoring the fact that if someone walked by and cut your cable you'd be screwed.
Haha, so if one group does it, it's alright for the other? BTW, I'm not taking sides as both parties in my opinion are completely ridiculous. The US really needs some governmental reform. Freedom just isn't free these days.
Well, since neutron stars are not one big nucleus that really doesn't matter. Neutron stars appear to be bright little white stars. This gives them the name of white dwarves. They're pretty much little cores of carbon that can't fuse because of the lack of mass (this is where the 1.4 solar mass number comes in). If the star is >1.4 solar masses then if forms a black hole. If it is 1.4 solar masses then it forms a neutron star which appears white. This white colour is only there because of energy left from when it was a star. It eventually cools off and becomes a black dwarf floating around space.
It would be worse if a crazy man from the anti-matter universe was chasing a man from the matter universe trying to destroy both because he's crazy. But luckily they're both traped in the corridor between our universes with the spaceship that put them there left destroyed.
""If something started time, then that implies"...
Implies nothing, except that there's a zero moment."
The word started, being a verb (an action) implies that an action indeed was made (past tense at that). Actions of any type require time to take place, therefore if something were to "start time" it would require time for the action of starting time to take place. Therefore all posts are irrelevant and time is an illusion. You are actually dead (dead being the past tense of the infinitive verb to die, being a verb that is an action which doesn't exist because time is an illusion).
Is it the essence of capitalism or the downfall of capitalism? A system whereby it screws itself over isn't a very good one. This is where communism has one up on democratic policy. Maybe we should learn something from it.
not soft spoken, not sensitive, not caring in the least.
Although I didn't see the program, as CNN is not my choice of TV viewing, (as I hardly watch TV anymore, nothing is good anymore. It's aimed at people with IQ's 90 and below. I watch the CBC for news.) I would think that presenting the news without being sensitive to the issue is a good thing. Emotion brings bias and the news is supposed to be completely subjective unless it completely represents the views of the entire viewing populous. Take the tsunami disaters for example. It was a horrible tragedy and I don't think anyone who has a shred of decency and isn't living in a hole in their basement waiting for the moment when they can spring forth and slaughter Barney because he's so cheery, would think that presenting that news in an emotion light would be bad news. On the otherhand, I think it's necessary to present facts without bias. I think news isn't meant to tell people what to think. It's meant to inform them of event currently occuring and to give information and let the viewer decide their own opinions. And perhaps have a segment separate from the main part of the program for people to express their views. And yeah, Tucker was a jerk (I'm allowed to say that, I'm not on the news). I hated Crossfire, horrible show with nothing in it but bias and opinion. I'm glad it's gone.
I'd say the exploding a nuke over water to create a tsunami would not work. Water, as a liquid, is considered to be incompressible and attempting to create a wave through compression just doesn't seem viable to me.
And adding to the fact that it's demand point is located at $0 (or a fraction of a cent for electricity/bandwidth and whatnot) is the fact that the supply is pretty much infinite as an unlimited amount of copies can be made from a single file.
2) Someone else directly infringes on a copyright, and you materially contribute to that infringement, while knowing of the infringement.
2) They could claim that they do not know of the infringement. They do not download the file, verify the content, and screen it themselves. They allow others to connect ans use their servers without content verification.
Seems to me that the cease and desist e-mails form the MPAA told them that they had the illegal links on their site and from my understanding they could only claim ignorance if they took the links off after being told that the information that their site had was illegal in nature. They know that their site is linking to aid the distrubution of copyrighted material.
Do we not already push our goods around in huge metal cages also known as shopping carts? And the hand baskets too, aren't they made of a mesh that resembles a cage? Just a question, but wouldn't this be a benefit to the RFID scanner if you just scanned what you have, and the scanner would be blind to the other customer's goods. They may need a little modification to make them RFID compatible, but I'm sure Walmart could afford it. And I mean, if it works for
passports then why not shopping goods?
You might want to change it from eurocentric, to ethnocentric, as I'm sure it's not only some europeans that have problems with communication between different cultures (I thought europe used celcius/centigrade anyway). It's more of the American's with their gallons (instead of litres) at the pumps, their ounces for soft drinks, their yards (instead of metre) for American Football fields, and their fahrenheit/rankine (instead of celcius/kelvin) for measuring temperature.
Anyway, on another note, Fahrenheit temperature minus 32 degrees multiplied by 5/9s gives the temperature in celcius.
I only buy hype games because I consider most others not worthy of a buy, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Most people I know don't buy the no name game that 'looks' good, becuse in the end it's not usually the same thing. Hyped games are mostly hyped for a reason, unless they turn out to be a big fiasco.
First there's news about how young people are using this new fang-dangled thing called the internet, now people are buying games at Christmas? I wonder what the connection between companies releasing huge titles, people buying tons of gifts for people who like games, and the fact that games are being sold at a greater rate, is. I really don't know.... anyone else?
"However it appears this P2P application will completely replace SuprNova.org"
Doesn't matter, looks like the whole thing is going to be switched over and anyone who's going to continue using Suprnova will be forced to switch to the new technology.
Jack Protoss, or maybe Diane Terran...
Anyway, we all know the match was rigged and that Ken Jennings is really a robot.... or.... got a computer implanted in his brain by the FBI to retrieve information from the Soviets.... whichever it is, we're all doomed anyway.
All hail Ken Jennings, future enslaver of the human race.

That's a lie and you know it!

Like my friend always says, "I'm never drunk, I'm just always Irish sober!"

In contact with air, aluminum quickly is coated with a layer of aluminum oxide that resists corrosion.
Maybe it's resistant to corrosion because it's already corroded. Oxidization is corrosion!
Could it be that other schools are becoming better as access to information increases?
According to this it also stands for Arizona Families On-Line and Association for Outdoor Learning.
