I know the launch has failed. But it failed to send the "satellite into orbit". So we know/think that the satellite launch is just a cover for rocket testing.
Now my question is, is the rocket launch test deemed successful? Or did something go wrong?
the owner is obviously ripped off.. the water-cooling system is setup in serial fashion, from one to the next.. shouldn't it be parallel? A dedicated in-out tubing for each processor?
I wonder how hot the liquid after it comes out of the 4th processor.. oh yea and it's fuglay

manekineko2 was right. But also why MS,Sony don't want to put keyb/mouse support for RTS games or any other games is that when the general pop gets to try keyb/mouse control, they become used to/familiar with it.
When people are used to the keyb/mouse config, then they won't be discouraged when an exciting new game comes out for PC. This means potential future loss for console makers.
Put simply, if gamers in general, including new gamers, have experienced playing with PC games such as HL/CS, AOE/Warcraft/Starcraft, Halo wouldn't be as successful as it is today. Halo stole the new generation gamers, MS just can't afford to let them go just by providing keyb/mouse support. It's a huge risk.
seeing as matching speed and then land is irrelevant, then the only beneficial way is to shoot the probe onto the asteroid right as it passes. I understand that the error margin is very much less, not to mention the risk of damaging the instrument upon impact. But if we're to take advantage of both the momentum of the asteroid and the opportunity to study it, this is the way to go.
not to mention that they're getting help and intelligence from their les comrades here. They've been planning it all this time with their cheap drugs!!

From what I observe, names do matter..
For example, of the seven Glenn's I know, all have weird traits. I know that everybody must have some weird thing going, but theirs stick out more..
Many Jasons I met are smart, but lazy.. alot of Johns are reserved..
and to comment on morgan_greywolf's post, it is not uniformity that's the nightmare. The nightmare is that we are now playing God, and that's not even the real problem. This issue is a slippery slope. Once we do this, we'd be wondering what else can we do, individuals with no limbs? individuals with 8 arms? eyes on the back? maybe in the future people will be physically-specialized to certain jobs.. air traffic controller would have four arms, CIA spies with eye on the back of head, and so on..
there's a good argument on the comments section of that article. Doctorow's a BoingBoing blog editor and it's easy for him to bash other medium and touting his as the best one.
don't step on your fellows when you're climbing, who knows they might be the ones holding your lifeline..

Agreed. Some years ago your name and address would mean nothing. Now there are people looking through trash just to find your name and address.
Years later from those only-name-and-address years, more information becomes more useful. First telephone numbers, then email, then social networking info*, then who knows what comes next.
The scary thing with the availability of our information out there is not what product advertisers can offer us. It isn't also just about privacy. There's a certain level of safety risk (financial, even physical) that you lose as more information about you is available. The parent poster gave an example of cutting off some bad guy on the highway may result in threats on your family. Who knows, you may rise up high enough at work there's enough incentive for some bad guys to take advantage by blackmailing, kidnapping, etc.
I can control what info I give out, but my picture in the background, my name on some lists, info mentioning me people post somewhere-- I can't control those from being tagged, put into one giant clipboard of everything about me, ready to be used for good or evil.
Not a decade ago, data mining are done by big companies, advertisers, etc. Today, any Joe Schmoe with an internet connection (plenty), enough jobslessness (plenty), and enough grudge against you, can do harm so fast you won't even see it coming.
all in all, if Apple would just use MicroUSB port for charging, it would have saved me alot of headaches.
There's been many times my iPod ran out of juice while there's a computer and MicroUSB cord lying around.. That's like a mouse starving to death on a piece of cheese (sorry can't find better analogy)
I currently have mod points. I could've just mod you down for "stupid", or "clueless". Both options aren't available, and "overrated" is not satisfying enough.
So I figured I'd just post to point out what the above posts were trying to say is that..
it's nice to know that you, sir, owns FIVE computers that you listed tidily (with bullet points, no less).
It's like someone who says: I can fix the flat tire on my Porsche because I can take the wrench from any of my five cars, namely: - BMW M3 - Mercedes-Benz SLK500 - Old, arthritic Jaguar XJ - Chevy Corvette - Brand-spankin new, grocery-getter Porsche Cayenne
Jerry Yang actually, according to this article, considered acquiring AOL.. But with declining stock prices, they are running out of steam to keep up with the dailies, let alone for acquisitions.
you have acquired a full win, Sir. Interwebs +5
whattt? 5.25" floppy disks? That's gnarly.
Stop living in the old age and start using the Iomega Zip drive. It can store like jiggabillions of win!
The name is Bond, Sheik Yerbond Bond.

In that case, this post actually made me wanna eat some calamari!!
Mod me informative, baby!
that's right.. Without anything to do with creationism, I think the term "evolution" is usually considered something that living things do.
Better terms would be, "mineral morphology", or "changes in earth rock composition"
