Considering the first games on any console look crap I wonder what others look line in the future(cleaning up saliva as we speak). And let's not forget the PS3 is supposed to have more power.
It'd be better if someone wrote a program that acts as a frontend for wikipedia to not have to open a browser when you want to find out about something. Or a module to have a good info source when chatting on kopete.. click on a button and search for whatever you're looking for.
I hope it isn't redundant by the time I post it, but Prefect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie and many other games belong to rare.. I doubt they'd want to resell them now they're Microsoft owned.
I can't stop thinking about what would happen if apple bought nintendo...
I am not an apple fanboy (more like a nintendo one) but when I look at the two companies I keep seeing the same features and defects. They center their software only on *their* hardware, they focus on simplicity and ease of use, and be it cheap (Gamecube, Mac Mini) or expensive (Nintendo 64 [long time ago], Power Mac) they make high quality products.
Wouldn't it be cool playing iTunes on your stilish Revolution while you wirelessly download the game saves onto it?
Actually, this requires some inspiration, people should actually be modded up for all the effort an alcohol induced geek puts into trying to say something funny.
What software does it contain? Its probably much faster than knoppix and it surely has apache and tons of networking software. Does it contain some sort of an office suite? Id be much more confortable with a quick, light an secure system than a (sorry, but I consider it true) bloated knopppix cd. Im also considering slax but it doesnt have captive ntfs. So, whats the software its made out of?
Compiling a full Gentoo system would take just as much time as any other system actually(if you compile it entirely) and we won't be putting KDE on an ARM system will we? We would only put a limited version of X also. Gentoo compile time is the price you have to pay for the having fastest linux distro (OS?) available.
but what are the chances of the public taking over when it's built? Many of todays technologies and discoveries were developed by the military with other intentions. I know many things will have changed in the 'decades' it will take to build this.
The idea of being in a rainforest and downloading por on the fly seems amazing.
It would be a bit strange if he only played RTS or Plataforming games. Maybe the real improvement would come from racing games, that way he could have really known what keys were for what. It is mentioned in the article probably but I didn't read it yet.
Are the robots meant to kill each other, play soccer, or what? As a true slashdot reader, I concentrate at the pretty pictures and sensless comments. I can't browse por and robot sites at the same time.
What do china, north/south korea and other protective countries do about this?
And does this listen on to the internet communications (modem beep beep blonk sounds) also?
And finaly, what do they use this information for? Would the use it against a politician if it posed a threat for them (aka blackmailing them) or someone else?
They actually were presented with a windows box and a control panel open with the new win xp layout. The chimps flung their poo at the screen, which shows obvious humanlike behaviour. Microsoft experts interpreted this as an approval to use it in future versions.
I haven't read TFA but funnily enough some really weird mistakes in language pop up in bi and trilingual people. I've got a few german friends who also know english and spanish and completely mispronounce sounds even after many years of living in spain. I know what I mentioned is not dyslexia but they also (to a lower extent) completely mix up words in their head, and this happens quite often.
Whoops.. HA HA.. I never thought I could have been this stupid.. after instalation and after configuring stuff in yast I keep seeing lots of "writing suse something" lines (I'm on a windows box now proving what an idiot I am) so I just type in locate suse* and try to look for the files (tihs WAS a long time ago, it was my first distro, and after mandrake (5th) I tried it again).
But I still think it is bloated.
Now that I finally use my braincells after a long summertime hibernation, i'm thinking, couldn't those be the scripts yast was executing to apply the config changes?
Hmmm... licenses.. code quality...
That's all great but now look at it from a sixteen year-old geek's point of view. My intention is to learn as much as I can about IT and to increase my knowledge about all this stuff (It's cool;)). I've tried TONS of distro's and there are clear differences. Now I don't know about marketing and economics, but people would probably look at ease of use, support, and software-base (that's shared code probably, so that's out of question) among other superficial stuff like preformance (BSD is for servers and not gaming, I think).
If someone mentions goals, it might seem very honorable, but my goal in life is to become an excentric millionaire and it probably won't happen. Maybe "goals" are a new concept i'll have to assimilate.
What about actual "ooo.. shiny!" features? I mean those that actually make you decide that THAT is your OS of choice.
I haven't googled for it cause i'm a bit lazy but the main websites don't seem to be very informative about that aspect.
I only take coffee the days I REALLY have to study EXCEPT the day before, a good rest the day before can do miracles. I haven't been put under the stress you guys have suffered from... yet. Strangely enough I haven't developed a dependency to that magical beverage;).
It also seems to have less of an effect on my body.
Maybe I should try heroin;)
...happen to look suspiciously like zombies
zombies! in resident evil?
Impossible!
Where are the goombas?

Embrace, extend and embloat..
People should fight this.. not use their features and block it saying it isn't standards compliant.
Isn't that a media player?

I really miss my B-K.. *Double clicks on PJ64*
Couldn't this also mean that being more tolerant with defects they might start selling us quality chips?
I mean, that *is* the actual purpose, but wouldn't being more permissive lower the overall quality?
And if the chip works decently, couldn't we use the extra wiring (the unneeded part) for bonus power/speed/preformance ?

Can I name one first post?
I accidentally made my 3rd gen iPod 2 milimetres thinner while going backwars with the car and I never understood how it got there.
On the bright side, its still working. You cant look at yourself on the back of it as if it were a mirror though.
Actually, this requires some inspiration, people should actually be modded up for all the effort an alcohol induced geek puts into trying to say something funny.
But does it have a faraday cage so the data doesnt escape? And.. Can it be compiled for SkyOs?

The world is more and more terrifying every day.

Is condoms and money!
I wish...
About this, but completely off topic (what a paradox, huh?), a linux newb (somewhat) has a question about rpms.
Is there a way of using other package systems with slackware? Like emerge from Gentoo for example.
Little green men have been falling out of the trees.
