Ok, I'm not sure if I tend to code things horribly or what, but I find that 90% of the time, I have to use workarounds to make things render correctly in Firefox, rather than the other way round. Most of the time when I'm handcoding a CSS page, it works fine in Opera (my main browser), works fine in IE but something's always off in Firefox.
I have to agree with you. I code my sites with XHTML and CSS from scratch, and when I was fiddling around with MySpace, I had to ask one of my friends where the code would go...and well...why does CSS code go in the 'about me' profile field? Isn't that...retarded? Why aren't the fields ID'ed properly? What does what field do? In the end I just went screw it. I'm not about to waste time figuring something out I already know because of bad design.
Actually, I'm glad about the news that a company like EA has setup a Revolution-specific studio. Perhaps Nintendo's claims of 3rd party support might actually be true? Who knows.
And what Apple adds in a major release is available for Windows for free by Microsoft or others (ie, msn has an equivalent to spotlight) or were already available from the beginning. Some of those things listed in the 200+ features are a joke. Export bookmarks from Safari? iTunes album art screensave? Woo!
And umm..SP2 (or is it SP1?) for XP rehauled wifi connectivity. SP2 added the security center and a far more robust firewall, major updates to Media Center, and so on.
Stuff you get via Windows Automatic updates are free, and are bug/security fixes equivalent to OS X point point releases (ie, 10.4.x). Windows XP Service packs are a collection of all previous security/bug fixes, add functionality and are free (you can even order an installation disc with the SP preinstalled free). These are equivalent to 'major' OS X point releases.
Yes, but new customers who already have a Linux environment running previously had one choice: DB2. Now Oracle has a chance of making sales from these customers
However the one thing I'd LOVE for a PC is Frontrow, since my PC is also my media center. If they came out with that for the PC, complete with a remote and possibly a wireless adapter to stream to my TV, I'd buy it in an instant.
Windows Media Center Edition...tried it? Because its far more advanced than FrontRow from what I've seen. I managed to grab a remote off ebay, but you should be able to get them off OEM retailers.

And at the time it was thought that the attack on Pearl Harbor was impossible. The point is: expect the unexpected. Try to account for everything, even if it seems improbable.
Apple markets their products to real users, not ultra-geeks. Ultra geeks have already figured out how to boot into Linux. If you haven't, then you probably shouldn't be running Linux. Apple isn't looking to add support costs to some schmuck that doesn't under Linux.
So...you suggest I hold off on a new PC till EFI comes out? Mind you my current PC can run Vista (1 gig ram, Athlon XP 2200+, ati radeon 9700)...but...I like shiny things >.>
didn't cnet recently run an article about how the press always overhype apple launch announcements before they happen, and then get disappointed when nothing major is announced?
I'm looking forward to trying out The Battle for Middle-Earth 2's interface in the 360. From what I understand in previews it was designed with a console controller in hand, so we'll see how that works out.
If not, then the Revolution controller will be awesome for first person shooters and probably RTS games. Heck, those genres work pretty well on the DS

And soon we'll have .zib ;)
I see PayPal found the elusive ??? step before profit. Oh my, it's quite a mouthful.
...when they support Opera. It gets no love. :(
And of course it doesn't work properly in Opera...
am I missing something? I typed hello in image search, and i get nothing interesting aside from an angry looking cat...

Lovely elitist attitude you got there.
Yup you can.

How can a good game be murdering the genre?
Umm. This is an April Fool's Day joke.
I don't use google desktop or open office, but this should help: http://desktop.google.com/plugins/indextheopenoffi ce.html
Oooh! I like that description. I say us geeks reclaim April 1 and name it "The Internet Holiday"

I just turned 22. You 23 year olds are damned ancient by my standards.
They matter only when the EU is suing Microsoft. *rimshot*
