I'd laugh of the developers of both programs decided to "race" each other on how many viable updates they can make(to increase the version #). So to start it off they put both versions at 1.06 :)

http://slate.msn.com/id/2104087 Interesting article about "mob art", a collective creation of art. It describes some people who made a song over the internet, called "Please Eat".

The cost the fill up a tank is irrelevant to the mpg it gets. It could be that the volvo has a larger gas tank so it takes more gas.

  11. Fake Killzone 2 Trailer at E3 on Smoke and Mirrors from Sony and Microsoft · · Score: 1

Despite what you hear from Gamespot and the like, the Killzone 2 trailer was NOT of actual gameplay and was created in the 3 months before E3. This is supposed to be "an accurate representation of what [we] want it to be". This goes to show that publishers will go to any lengths to make their game (and also their console, the makers of Killzone 2 are funded by Sony). If you watch G4TV at all, there is an interview with a top sony guy with Morgan Webb and he repeatably dodged the prerendered question until he finally admitted that it was a video(aka prerendered).

  17. Takes practice on Ars Technica Builds Make Magazine's Steadicam · · Score: 2, Informative

I've built the said $14 steadicam and here are some thoughts: 1) First of all, it wasn't $14. It was more like $25 (without buying weights, they where a waste of money) 2) It takes immense practice to use it very well. 3) The sidearm makes this better than any tripod or monopod 4) The rotations are the most impressive part of it. The shots generated are really smooth. If someone will generously provide me with hosting, I can post a compilation of shots I did using the cheap steadicam.

  18. What about FIRST????? on SF RoboGames This Weekend · · Score: 2, Interesting

FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is far superiour than any stupid robowars program. We acually spend our time to create something constructive that inspires high school kids to pursue the fields of science or engineering rather than creating robots to mindlessly destory. Why isn't there a news story on the 7 regional events out of 30 that FIRST is having all over the US??

  20. ignorance on Imax Theaters Demur On Controversial Science Films · · Score: 0

It's easier to be religious if you're ignorant towards modern science. Their beliefs are based solely on a large piece of historical fiction (The Bible). Likewise, it's easier to be Republican if you don't keep up with current events. (So called "Passionate Conservatism" is thrown out by national and global statistics on wages, quality of life, the environment, etc)

I'd never want to buy this for my photoshoots because I need to post my images in realtime.

To have a practically unlimited source of storage can lead to bad photography practices, like taking 200+ RAW photos and then trying to organize and photoshop then all.
