microsoft already has a thin client its called windows xp embeded. I work at circuit city and this is the only system we have used for over 2 years now. it is the most stripped down version of windows i have ever seen it boots directly into the program for writing up sales (DPS) and then it loads internet explorer. if you close internet explorer it opens a new copy. thats it there is nothing more to this os. so if you want something for only running one or two programs try embeded.
Hey Dumbass. 1080p has been around for a long time now. By my count at least two years. Also 1920x1080 isn't a limited resolution. And yes high def DVD's will be available with the release of HD-DVD players, but your are going to have to re-collect all your movies again in the new format. Well there is one good advantage to taking apart the hdd if you have never done it. the magnets are quite strong strong enough to remove the security on most items at best buy and circuit city. Its does take a bit of practice but once you get it you will be able to remove the security pretty quickly. I recommend using both of the magnets on top of eachother tends to work better. WARNING this will only work on physical security I.E. Boxes and Spider wraps. the magnets will not work on soft tags or stickers because those are deactivated using a rf frequency. how do I know this? Well I work at circuit city and have tried to unlock the boxes and It worked. So happy hunting and dont get caught!

its cool i know how you feel man the only part of hl2 that I didnt like was the car part actually i lied i loved it i just didnt like how the car didnt handle at all. but onto lighter subjects i liked both games but hl2 was better.
Halo 2 = Overrated and not as good as HL2 I have played both and finnished each of the games and Halo 2 is not as good as HL2 Halo 2 starts the same way the first halo did and needless to say I was not impressed microsoft ran out of idas for stories so they just substituted a generic save the world story which was BS. while HL2 has an amasing story that keeps you guessing. I guess what I am trying to say is that I prefer substance in a game over no substance i suppose that would be a good idea because I like to actually play a game that requires some form of thinking. First I must say that i agree with what this article has to say so far. But the guy who wrote this article hasn't even gotten the gravity gun. that doesn't say much for his commitment to gaming. I acuired the grav gun in the first session. And having played both games to there completion I must say that both games look very good and perform excelent but i like HL2 better Steam is an awsome concept and the water is better that it is in D3 and lets just say that i prefer a story to no story anyday and dropping freight cars on enemies from a crane is more fun than it should be. also Halo2=dumb and repeditive

you are right about the manufacturing costs right now ms has to buy each of the video chips from nvidea for each system so they are losing money but in xbox 2 they will be licencing the technology from nvidea so they will be able to improve it and manufacture it themselfs making the cose of the xbox2 less than xbox

there isn't one you are looking at at least a year or more before any progress on the version for xbox. HL2 for Xbox is not looking too good right now because valve wants to focus on the steam engine and in order to do that they have to hold off on any development of a port for any system. Besides lets face it I dont think there is any console out right now modified or otherwise that could handle any version of HL2 maybe they will wait till Xbox-2. Who knows?
