Actually I expect that to happen to me. I believe sometime next year I'll end up venturing off on my own into some sort of consulting business. They still pay me enough and give me enough incentives at this point to stick around a little longer and see how it goes.
They didn't discover anything. They just repacked other people's work from the old Xbox extractors. The author of Qwix has stated that Qwix (Xbox unpacker that's been out for a long time) will unpack a 360 iso with no changes other than renaming the 360 image file to.iso.
I'm 35 and about to move into a position where I will not be coding anymore, just managing contracted coders (local guys too not outsourced people in India). I'll have an integral part in approving designs and implemenations since I wrote a lot of the original code they will be working on. I still love to code and can't really see myself not coding in the near future. Now I'll probably contribute to some open source projects and code for fun rather than a job.
I think I'm in the process of being ripped off for a measly $70. Item said would ship within 48 hours priority mail after receiving payment. I paid him via PayPal 9 days ago. 5 days went by before he answered my multiple emails and said he was shipping the item on Monday and would send me a conf number. 4 more days go by no item no conf number. He finally replies to more multiple (now me threatening to dispute the paypal payment) and says he's really busy and will now ship on Saturday which hopefully he does since it's Christmas gift. He knew it was Christmas gift and I specifically bought his because of the will ship in 48 hours priority mail in his listing. Saturday will make 10 days. He hasn't left me feedback yet because I'm sure he knows I'm going to leave him negative feedback and he'll do the same to me as revenge. First bad experience buying stuff on Ebay, now I will be more hesitant in the future.
I bought a Japanese one before the US launch and then a US one later. They both still work and my son plays DC daily. Samba de Amigo is still the best party game ever. I've seen them used at Gamestop for $20 and you don't need a modchip to run homebrew/games.
I agree. I was at Target today playing the 360's Call of Duty. Pretty cool actually, great graphics (though my PC can look just as nice). No way to buy a 360 though so they are losing my money. Walked into EB after that, bought a used Gamecube for my son for Xmas for $59.99. Since all those games and accessories can be used on the Revolution that will now be the console I buy.
Yes it takes more than DVD Copy software to do this. Xbox and Xbox 360 do not use a file system readable by PCs. They use their own. If you read the article you'll find out the 360 uses a slightly changed version of Xbox's file system(which also required a PC.exe extractor written for the file system). You can't read Xbox or 360 DVD game data in a PC DVD-ROM.
My cousin was a cable installer and gave 2 weeks notice because he was moving out of state. They ended his employment immediately and paid him for the 2 weeks.
Don't forget the CEO also was an arms smuggler for the kids. They jacked a shipment of Mac-10s to supply the kids with weapons. It really was a ridiculous storyline, even for CSI: Miami.
Yes please. Usenet is terrible, no one (new) should use it.
My ISP provides good, fast Usenet servers, no download limits, and all binary groups. I don't find it hard to find things at all. I can't think of anything easier actually.
I played the 360 at Target today (the demos that were available). I like my Xbox alot but the 360 is the same with flashier graphics. Wasn't impressed enough to spend $500 on the deluxe version, extra controller, and a game that's for sure. I don't have a widescreen/HD TV. Think I'll keep playing my Xbox and wait for the Revolution or a big price cut on the 360.
My company decided to go with RUP a few years ago. It took months of classes and basically just an iterative process that has very heavy on process and paperwork and is based on UML. Very unproductive in the environment I worked in. A few lines of code changes could result in 40+ hours of paperwork and reviews. So I saw in practice you start with RUP, strip out what you don't like, and you end up with simple iterative process we could have thought of ourselves rather than spending a ton of money on Rational consulting. The Rational products for doing the modeling were crap. Couldn't stand them. I like Rational's ClearQuest for bug tracking and ClearCase for source control but other than that the rest was junk.
The 3 that were recovered were in the hands of Xbox modchip maker SmartXX. They have some forum postings on their site about it. If you dig around some more all their pictures of the dev kits torn apart, accessories, etc. are on there still.
They are marketing it as a fashion statement. There's an ad for it in the new Transworld Skateboarding mag. It shows a kid with a nose ring wearing all camo clothes with a camo GB Micro connected to strap across his chest. There's a slogan "make it yours" at the top. I'll keep my SP.
Super Card with Priority shipping in the US is $50. Plus you can run commercial DS games off it unlike the media player. Not that any of us would do something like that of course. Yeah the cards stick out a half inch or so, big deal. DS is $129 now. For the price of just a the PSP you can have a DS, Super Card, Super Passme, and a 1 gig CF card.
DS homebrew is cheap and easy now that the SuperCard flash system for the GBA/DS has had a firmware upgrade allowing it to run DS software from a CF or SD flash card. I use my GBA all the time with a SC system I think I'm upgrading to a DS soon.
Samba will never be topped for a fun party game! If Sega announced it would be doing a new Samba for only one of the next gen consoles that is the console I would buy. I still have 2 Dreamcasts and 2 sets of maraccas to whip out at party.

They did a good job on the GBA version of FFIV. Totally enjoying it.
I bought a Japanese one before the US launch and then a US one later. They both still work and my son plays DC daily. Samba de Amigo is still the best party game ever. I've seen them used at Gamestop for $20 and you don't need a modchip to run homebrew/games.

Supercard is about $35-$50 depending who you buy it from. Then you can use SD or CF cards and play DS and SP ROMs.
to allow mentally handicapped people write articles. Seanbaby is retarded right?

Not me yet. They are opening a place here in Phoenix about the same time I'm leaving the semiconductor industry so who knows hehe.

ClearCase for source control and ClearQuest bug tracking. Makes it easy. Better have money though.

Yeah the last screen shot of DT has fish that look similar. They should have made them meaner looking.

Of course it's not natural. It's the Photino Birds trying to get all stars sucked into Black Holes!

Setting up a Samba share is easy, getting the share to work right with a maracca controller is the hard part heh.
Samba will never be topped for a fun party game! If Sega announced it would be doing a new Samba for only one of the next gen consoles that is the console I would buy. I still have 2 Dreamcasts and 2 sets of maraccas to whip out at party.
