I couldn't find it anywhere. It's supposed to be in Gates "New World of Work" video from last May. The streaming video on Microsoft's site doesn't have this segment in it, it jumps right to Gates starting his speech.
All these Tivo things make me never want to get one. Once DirectTV cuts out support for my UltimateTV units (which were once made by the evil Microsoft, and I pay $10 a month to use, but I have one on 3 different TVs and the 3 units cost me $75 total), I highly doubt I'll accept any kind of upgrade deal to get DTV Tivo unit.
If you want a media center go pick up a cheap old Xbox, wireless adapter, softmod it and put XBMC on it. You're done. Stream whatever you want from your PC for less than $200.
Gotta love all the fan boys coming out to defend and attack consoles that aren't out yet. I especially like the ones that pretend they are developers. I'll be buying a 360 for sure since it's coming out in a few months. Revolution or PS3, one or the other depending what games are out for them that I want to play.
I agree. This mouse is a terrible idea for games. I wouldn't want to use it at work for programming either. My 2 button with a clickable scroll wheel optical mouse would be hard to give up for this mouse.
When I look at my neighborhood there's nothing there but empty land. Outdated by many years. Google's on the other hand seem really recent for the same area.
Games keep looking better and better but they aren't necessarily getting better. I find my Xbox collecting a lot of dust lately and my Gameboy SP getting played everyday.
And I'll mod mine so I can play MAME and SNES games on it like I do my current Xbox;) I think my son spends more time in the N64 emulator than playing any Xbox games on it.
Took my kids this morning. I saw the original in the theaters when I was a kid and was looking forward to this one. If you went to the theater expecting Shakespearean acting you shouldn't have been smoking crack before you left. Definitely better than the first two, great CGI, good blending of old sets into the movie near the end, etc.
I'll stand in line at 5am like I did for the Xbox most likely.
But I doubt I'll ever be without a modded Xbox for use as a wireless media center and to play emulators on.
I still have a Japanese and US Dreamcast that get frequent use.
Gameboy Advance SP and a Super Card Compact Flash to GBA adapter. Plays movies (need to convert to its format), MP3s, ebooks (mp3 and read ebook simul), built in SMS, NES, GG, PCE emulators in the firmware, real time save to CF card. Sucks some juice, about 6 hours of battery life out of the SP's lithium ion. SP is $80, Super Card is $40, CF cards are cheap. PSP is cool but I'd rather have this set up for my trips. Super Card also works in the DS.
Like Arnold Schwarzenegger was saying on Howard Stern a couple weeks ago. The moon is not good for anything. The tides are a nuisance, most crime is committed during a full moon, female cycles follow the moon, no need for moonlight when we have fire and electricity. He said if he can't get government backing to blow up the moon he would go up there using his own money and blow it up himself.
The strength of a design doc really relies on the documents that should come before it. A solid functional spec leads to a solid software requirements spec which allows you to create a solid design doc. It's when the process isn't followed and things are done first and then documented where you get the problems described in the story. I've found managment is more than willing to excuse you from doing part of the process if it means they can have the change done right now.
I just finished reading Prey the other day. You beat me to the post. There's lots of links on swarm intelligence and emergent evolution in swarms. The book's plot handles emergent behavior in robotic swarms and what can go wrong of course.
I have non-HD DirecTV and don't see myself ever giving up my old UltimateTV boxes that you can get off Ebay for $20-$30 now. Dual Tuner, reaction time rewind after fast forwarding, recordable buffer, 30 second forward skip, 10 second reverse skip, watch 1 recorded show while recording 2 others simultaneously. It does all that. Easily upgradeable to put whatever size hard drive you want in it too. The service is $10 a month but I have them on 4 TVs in the house.
You are not going to go to jail over a civil suit. If you get a judgement against you to pay X amount of dollars and don't pay they can take your personal property that is equivalent in value to the judgement.

You know what these poker bots really need? THE CLAMPS!

As long as the Elephants and Dinosaurs are clothed the children will be fine!

For one command you don't need the {} either ;)
if(reboot==true) potty_break();
is valid.
How do they intend to put Electronic Fuel Injection in a computer in place of the BIOS?

I play my GBA SP usually everyday and have no desire to get a DS or PSP. I'm sure I'm not alone feeling that way.

Auto flash on mineral oil is 500-700 degrees F. If your motherboard is running that hot you've got other problems to begin with.

Finishing the story and classic modes of Tony Hawk's Underground 2. After trying some of those challenges thousands of times I can finally relax hehe.

I still am using the old DTV Microsoft Ultimate TV boxes. I wonder what kind of deal I'll get from DTV to upgrade the 3 to their DVRS?
Those aren't D&D players, they're leaked pics from Israeli military training and they don't want to admit it. Blaming it on D&D, where's the love?
