PC gaming for me is generally RTS or turn based strategy games. I can run them on anything newer then 7-8 years old. Anything else I play on my 360 on my 50" HDTV. A $1200 video card isn't going to ever change that, or a $300 video card for that matter.
As long time Sirius subscriber I can't wait for the merger (FCC will try to stop it I suspect). I have XM on DirecTV and Sirius in the car I'm looking forward to a new radio that'll pick up both.
If you are a good programmer you don't learn a new language because any language isn't hard to pick up. Make sure you have a good foundation of procedural, OO, and logic languages and you can write code in anything without a lot of learning involved.
Street view is pretty cool looking. If I see a Google van I'm going to do my best to get in the picture. I wanna look up my street and say see that? That's me flipping a bird on my street! It's not big brother retards.
I like how the fake blogger blogged that she couldn't make the anti-counterfeiting event because her uncle had a stroke! WTF?:
"first off, let me start by apologizing for not being there today! my uncle had a stroke Wednesday night and we all had to drive out to jersey to be with him. Crappy timing right? Everything is ok now, hes fine... his lip was paralyzed but hes slowly regaining feeling and movement now =D
Well I wasn't about to let that get in the way of ruining my anti-counterfeiting event! The show must go on! "
Word of mouth. Depending on the industry (I code in the semiconductor industry) the current employees know a lot of other people in the field. I wouldn't categorize myself as a superstar but I'm very good at what I do and when I left my company last year I knew enough people in the industry that knew my work and reputation that when I went to interview at another company they wanted to hire me before I even interviewed. The interview just clinched it, because if the programmer doesn't have good communication skills and is easy to get along with they may be a superstar that will hold your other employees back because they can't work with him (I'd say her too but I've only worked with one competent female programmer in this industry and she couldn't get along with anybody).
I've worked in South Korea quite a bit and have eaten tons of Kimchi, even as low as eating it at the cafeteria of the plant I was working at. And I can attest that arizwebfoot does not lie and I would not want to be abort a sealed station with a hefty supply on board. They better have some top notch air scrubbers.
I wonder what the requirements are for this to happen? I know I did not get the same Xbox 360 back when mine failed last year but I kept the hard drive of course. I can play all my arcade games offline, I was off the internet for several days just recently and they all worked fine.
Same thing here. I had no issue with playing content from old box on new box. I think this is some kind of myth that happened to a couple people and it spread throughout the net that it happens to everyone.
Foundly remember the Apple ][. Programming it in BASIC in 6-8th grade, playing Wizardy, Ultima 2/3/4/5, Phantasie, Castle Wolf, ahh the good old days. Think my parents paid about $1200 for a//e with 128k and 2 floppy drives. I also took part in the "scene" with my Apple Cat modem and PPP sites for transferring the warez.
Most providers offer unlimited text messaging. Mine's $4 a month or so. My friends and I text more than talk. In a work environment it's a lot less obtrusive to look at my phone when I have a chance and type a quick message back.
You're just trolling. The 360 HD DVD is an add on, not part of the Elite. You can use it on a PC too so it really has no bearing on the 360 or competing with the PS3 as a games console which it is dominating over the PS3. Most people don't give a crap about either HD DVD or Blu Ray.
I hardly record anything on it. I use it to upscale DVDs to 1080 and on the rare occasion I video tape something I'll dump it from my minidv camcorder's firewire onto a DVD. My HD DVR provides everything I need for recording shows.
A win for China, they finally get to watch Mr Bean!

True I've coded in Smalltalk before and it is a thing of it's own that's for sure. Everything is an object is no joke.

Yes.

I'm surprised we didn't outsource this to China.

My wife is ready for "just one more song" then I am when we are playing.
and not their fault. It's the fault of the cable layers for not putting sings up saying "buried cable do not dig" at the bottom of the ocean.

Not to mention that I'm sure he personally made money off Bono doing iPod ads. Hypocrite.

You didn't pay for the service that had problems. You shouldn't get anything at all.

Cool we can't stop playing Rock Band at my house. Too addicting...
