"Fans of the platform might still have some anxiety this year; a rumour on the 1up site indicates Microsoft is already working on a game for the next-next-gen console to bear the Xbox name."
You do know it takes years to develop new hardware right? They don't just produce it overnight. Of course MS as well as Sony and Nintendo are working on their next generation of consoles. It would be stupid of them not to be. Didn't Sony mention working on the PS4 before the PS3 was even released?
Not a bad game, definitely last gen animation/graphics. Had a good time playing it during the beta, very interesting concepts that you don't see in the normal FPS genre. I was looking forward to it until I found out that retail launch it would be $60, no single player, and a very limited amount of maps. That killed it for me and a lot of people on the 360. It should have been $40 and released with more maps it might have gained a following then.
In Phoenix a 12 year old boy was arrested for shining a green laser into helicopters. He had done it before this time they were able to triangulate where he was and go arrest him. You can buy a green laser for a couple hundred bucks that is powerful enough to burn through things.
Or come to Phoenix. Guarantee you'll find one. I see them all the time at Walmart, Gamestop, Best Buy. Bought mine a couple months ago at Gamestop, went across the street to Walmart and they had them in stock there too. Have seen them in stock at a couple Walmarts every time I go there. Maybe it's hard most other places but doesn't seem like it if you are near a big city.
Maybe I'm the only one that went to the website but monitoring is not mandatory. You can choose to only answer email surveys and not be monitored at all. So in that case not a bad deal if you wanted one of the offered products. MS sent me.net 2005 for free through another program by watching a couple classes on it and answering a surveys without any hassle.
I don't the dislike and ranting against this series most other slashdotters do I guess. Yeah it's too many books and could have been shortened. I read them all and liked them. I'm happy to find out they will finish it and the end is in sight. Wish Jordan could have finished it himself. RIP.
I'll take my DS. R4 flash card, R4 reader or one of the other readers, convert the books to.txt. Good to go, read vertical like a book or horizontal. Works fine for me I don't ever see a need to buy a $400 book reader like the Kindle.
I just left a large company with cubicles. I've worked in solitary cubes, 2-4 person cubes, office, etc. Now I work at a small company where we have an open loft type of area with simple desks and no walls. Nice thing we have no fake ceiling with a big sky light. Natural light is nice since there's no windows in the area. Bad thing no carpet or ceiling allows it to echo like crazy. As a software engineer I prefer a lone cube. Leave me alone I want to listen to music and write code. Office banter at the beginning of the day is fine as we are getting coffee and stuff. After that I want solitude so I can get my work done with minimal distraction.
I see them at Walmart, Best Buy, Game Stop, etc. fairly often now. Seems like they each have a few on the shelves each week. Then none for a few days, then back on the shelf again. Took awhile to get to this point though. It was sold out and hard to find for a long time.
I don't see myself ever paying $400 for a book reader. I read books on my Nintendo DS. $30 for a flash card and you are good to go. So far the readers just support plain text but I've never found to be a hassle to convert books I wanted to read. You can even hold it like a book and read it with left/right pages. The DS Lite goes dim enough to read it in the dark and not feel blinded too.
I think the Wii control scheme is more next gen then anything. But I'm like you I have the Wii and most of the time it sits. We play bowling or golf when friends come over and that's about it. I have a 50" DLP HD TV and while the Wii is fun the 360 grabs most of the time with the slick interface, all the great features of Live, and the HD graphics that make me happy I own the TV in the first place. The Wii is a party machine and will stay popular in that niche.
No they haven't. They will ban your console ID from ever using Live again though. Then if you want to play on Live you are forced to buy another Xbox or Xbox 360. But they don't ban your Gamer Tag so you are still allowed to use it to log into Live on someone else's Xbox.
Why am I modded off topic for commenting on something I quoted from the topic? That's about as on topic as you can be I would think. Retarded mods...

A vaccine for blow. That doesn't sound very fun at all!
That's one I wouldn't be volunteering for. Umm no I think I'll stay on the ground and watch the meteors, you guys have fun!

I do use it to keep in touch with friends. Idiotic or not. It's not bullshit, it's not a hassle, and you're wrong. Fuck off
Really, The Forge of God and Anvil of Stars for sure. Well Forge for what could happen. Anvil for delivering the ass kicking back.

Let's see those chimps down a few beer bongs first and then see how bright they are... stupid chimps!

Same here. I really like the interface around Photoshop 5. I still use that version have no need for CS versions.
Myst is coming to the DS with full touch screen support.

"What should it do? Say "don't do it again" and give a tap on the back?" No that would be what would have happened here in the US.
My 10 year old had no problem using Ubuntu when I installed it on his computer last year. He likes it.
