If an evil empire capable of star travel couldn't figure it out, then one capable of Clippy can't either.
I call it the Strangle-Hold Model.
People who don't have power seek it, people who have power seek to keep it. Industries that thrive on personal ability will always suffer it. Its just a matter of scale.
So here's to the next revolution. I can't wait for more indy games, movies, music.
I'm seriously wondering this. Will people realize the things that Trusted Computing and DRM can do to them? I'm not talking about the slippery slope of "restricting" anti-government documents or mobsters using Trusted Computing to commit crimes. I'm talking about the loss of rights to use media and information THAT YOU BOUGHT, NOT rented, or licensed.
We, as computer users see it coming, just like a satellite sees the storm. We just have to keep broadcasting.
Reviews having actual dollar amounts I tend to trust more. Yes, IBM can be considered biased because, well, they use Linux, and also deal with Microsoft.
What I really want to see, though, is an item-by-item document included for download which shows what they included in their TCO estimate. Statistics and numbers are fine, if you can read the whole dataset for yourself.
I appreciate this. But its more for their own bottom line than for the tax payers. While both will benefit, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention all the reasons for their choice.
I hope that this makes people feel awe about the moon again. Every now and again looking up and realizing there's footprints and hardware up there really gets to you.
Here's some info about those last lines regarding the "hoax."
Because people LOVE their software. Actually, some of them are afraid of using new software. I've seen people use DeadAIM instead of Gaim and other such modified programs instead of using the program its trying to mimic.
Not that I need for firefox to "take over the browser market," but it'd be nice if people would just take a chance.
The T637 made by Sony Ericcson, which is fairly recent, still provides IR. IRda, IMHO is more suited for contact exchange instead of sustained transfer rates.
What you do, is note the numbers of maybe the highest 2, maybe 5 winners on that book. And during each shift watch for numbering on those tickets, when they get maybe 5-10 away, buy one beyond the winning ticket. If you miss one of the numbers in sequence, wait for the next one. No suspicion, lots of money.
Not saying it's right, because its not. Just noting that I'd bet its happend before, only the dumb criminals get caught.
I can understand replacements on 3rd or 4th generation units. But by now, who would be able to tell if a 1st or 2nd generation iPod really had a defective battery, or if its just old?
...managers would work their way up from the lowest possibile position to garner knowledge, wisdom, and understanding from other employees and return those favors. Unfortunately most companies hire managment from the outside. I had a manager from the same vague field as the one he was hired for in my company, and the man just tried to cookie-cutter his way though the position. In my mind, that fails quite often.
Sadly the grin-and-bear-it approach is the most common and the best way to maintain your position.
Having a 4GB iPod for $50 less thana full iPod seemed like a bad idea, but it worked. I'm wondering if using flash, which should increase price, will shorten the gap between the Mini and the low-end iPod.
Then again, maybe apple wants people to notice the GB/price ratio and get the full-fledged iPod instead.

You know, when this Joe Sixpack guy shows up, he's gonna be mighty pissed that we talk about him so much. Especially now that I know he has a car.

The less (wasteful) money I have to pay, the better.
At least the file format has been publicly released:t /sdk/index.html
And you can use it reliably on more than just devices that can handle office formats.3 .shtml

Choose your words wisely, fat guys have big boobs too.

This might be an interesting thing to avoid expensive helicoptor chases on freeways or on foot persuit in city areas.
Yes, but does anyone know when windows 98 will turn 10?
And I bet you were expecting me to ask if it runs linux.
The sad thing is, even if it managed that feat, he decided to ignore the strong and weak nuclear forces.
