Would you make the same statement if a doctor persuaded you to get surgery you didn't need? You and I know exactly how simple installing a firmware update on a PS3 is, but expecting every consumer to know that is unrealistic.
If the only repercussions to Verizon are refunding the money they should not have taken, then what will deter them from doing this in the future? Without some kind of risk being involved it is in the best interests of the telecoms to stuff in as many bogus charges as they can.
The last new version of 64-bit flash was not released for Linux. This meant that if you wanted to run 64-bit flash in Linux you were stuck with several security holes that were already patched for everyone else. Most of us were stuck using awkward 32-bit wrappers to run flash in 64-bit Linux.
Also, I don't believe there are any known pathogens that can tolerate the ph levels found in beer. This gets mentioned a lot in homebrewing circles as there are several microbes that can infect your beer, but you can be relatively sure that none of them are dangerous.
This is why ray tracer demos love showing off spheres made of millions of polygons and so on.
Ray traced spheres are generally not made up of polygons. One of the benefits of ray tracing is that you can render a true sphere without having to try and build one out of triangles.
Because, sadly, the citizens vote for whoever has the most ads. Politicians don't have to do what citizens want to earn their votes. They simply purchase them through advertising using the money they got when they sold out to corporations.
Better yet, imagine the sort of things that you see on twitter in the style of the constitution:
We the people of Kappa Delta Phi, in order to procure more libations, absconded with a vehicle of an officer of justice, and did pilot said vehicle drunkenly into a telephone pole. Bummer.
That was my Quake server. It's amazing what you can do when you have a hat with NSA emblazoned on the front of it.

Such an agreement would give both Skype and Facebook not only a leg up on rival VoIP and social networking services from the likes of Google
I can already use gmail to make free calls to real phone numbers. This move seems more like playing catchup than anything else.
Exactly. Thats why PCs never took off.
Confirmed by Netcraft? Better start panicking.
Randomness is one of the harder computer problems.

Also, table salt is 1 part poisonous gas and 1 part chemical that reacts explosively with water. Molecules aren't just the sum of their elements.

Native clients will always run faster than Wine.
Not true. Windows games that support OpenGL like World of Warcraft have been known to run with a higher framerate in wine than in windows.
Are you sure that's C? I don't think that "choice2="NP";" does what you think it does...
I remember hearing serious talk about an atmosphere skimming system to deploy Marines from space anywhere on Earth within 30 minutes. Where's that?
It is one of the upgrades that you get with protoss research. It isn't available in multiplayer, though.

I still use -h and I don't have to press the power button...

and the rest of us will refuse to be zealots.
Honestly I'd rather be an archon anyway.
the unreasonable, nanny-state version of sexual harrassment remediation just works better for everyone involved
Even the otherwise innocent guy who loses his job when a coworker decides she wants a big payout from the company?
Never trust a mathematician who plays the lottery...
I was going to wait for confirmation from netcraft, but if it was posted on Twitter it must be true.
