The limits for general purpose CPUs for the about a decade has been power/heat, not transistor size. In the 1990s-2000s, performance could be increased with faster clockrates and more on-chip caches. Since about 2005, when clockrates passed 3GHz, the CPU vendors embraced multiple cores and have cut power demands.
Moore's Law can continue with 3D chips. Maybe a CPU of 2025 will be built with a first layer of transistors that covers the entire areal plane just for caching and with additional layers built vertically for other uses. If so, the number of transistors per chip might be much higher than a CPU of 2016.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Dec. 23, 2011) - Go Daddy is no longer supporting SOPA, the "Stop Online Piracy Act" currently working its way through U.S. Congress.
Kennedy was more conservative then reagan, poppa bush, or W. Back then they could balance budgets. Now, we have uneducated masses voting in neo-cons who speak of balancing budgets, stopping illegals, and getting to the moon, but do the exact opposite. Sadly, these followers ignore results and simply listen to rhetoric. Neo-cons have fucked up education in America. Hell, reagan and W grew gov more than all other president EXCEPT for lincoln and FDR who were dealing with real issues.
Wow, this gets a "+5, Insightful"?
"Neo-cons" were Democrats that defected when Clinton didn't stringently support Israel. By what twisted logic do you propose for how they fucked up education?
Kennedy was a centric Democrat from the days before that party shifted to the left. His support of the moon mission was a political statement after a series of political mistakes.
Maybe the lack in education is dire. You might want to learn about "transference".
An early estimate of the 8.9 magnitude quake's effect on the planet shows it sped up rotation by about 1 microsecond.
So all we need is enough huge earthquakes to change the day by an hour -- ergo, no more need for daylight saving time! Okay, there might be a few undesirable side-effects...
Here is a press release from a couple of years ago basically trumpeting the same thing. I think it is policy to recycle this every so often to prop up their stock price.
Exactly! It's the new "racetrack PR" where the same press release is continuously circulated and re-published every few quarters.
I would have preferred a sentiment indicator instead of a simple filter. If only good reviews are searchable, does that mean every one listed as a search result will "above average". Seems like this will lead to more confusion and mistaken belief that Google curates the web instead of just presenting it, warts and all.
I wonder if this will affect movie reviews. Hey! Why can't I find "Ishtar" anymore?
Cumbre Vieja is a volcano in the Canary Islands that if it were to blow could cause a tsunami from the eruption or, worse from a large landslide. Its tsunami would hit the East Coast of the US.

The media is ghoulish.
Remember a month ago when the Red River was rising, threatening huge areas of the northern plain states? Reporters swarmed the area and issued dire stories... until the local citizen successfully beat the river with miles of sandbags.

> You definitely don't want a AlQaidaDB, it'll blow up ever so often
The phrase "al quaida" means "the base" or "the database" because it was a list of followers.
Is it true that J.J. Abrams real name is Jar Jar?
So you're saying the researchers quit FASTER than theory predicted?
For comparison, it's been 60 years since IBM invented disk storage.
Its RAMAC system held 5 million characters in a stack of huge disks.

You are confusing education with college.
If that educated you, please send your tuition payment to me...

> This is a perfect example. Marilyn Monroe, one of the sexiest ladies that ever lived and a sex icon to this day, weighed over 160 lbs.
Not true. Her official website says 118 but it's likely her weight went as high as 130.

The US Dollar will soon be worthless?
Ahhh... the importance of whitespace. The dollar will be worth less.

Indeed. It's a good thing that we can't agree on anything at all, or I would be worried.
Yeah, I agree!
Umm, wait a minute...

The most detailed document is the 8-K filing but it doesn't list the patents

Wait ... oh darn, I set the time coordinates wrong...
Another study says attractive males release fewer sperm per mating.
So the conclusions are:
attractive women = faster sperm
attractive men = fewer sperm
While that may explain Ron Jeremy, I think that these studies show that the scientists have too much time on their hands, so to speak.
Wow, the world got more interesting on 7/08/2009!!!!

Google says that a traffic overload in Asia was the problem:

So it looks like a switch/router issue caused a long packet path with caused timeouts which caused unhappy users.
