This is finally some vindication for Apple and their one-button mouse, and their ultimate mission of 0. Soon we will see the error of our ways and know that it is not more buttons that lead the way forward, but fewer! I predict that by 2011, we will require less than 0 buttons on all mouses..es..ice?
Rogers is the worst in Canada, so that's a bad example. About 90% of cable companies here allow in the range of 80-100GB before you get warnings.
My connection is $25 (Canadian) per month, and I have 5MB/s down and 1MB/s up. My "cap" is 70GB. However, they don't actually throttle me until I hit 100GB. And even then, it is reduced to 1MB/s and 256K. So really, that's most likely what you have in the US anyways, and still for half the price.
Canada's system is very good. Your brother is either lying, or has some sort of lite program where he pays a very low amount but has ridiculous caps. And as for the port thing, that's BS as I've never ever heard of that anywhere. Not even in the US, where that kind of stuff wouldn't surprise anyone.
Hah. If I had mod points I'd bump your comment up for sure. I am never so lucky. I made a bad volcano joke once and I was modded down -1 troll. And since then no one reads my posts.:( Kind of makes me want to...blow my top! Haha. That was a real...burn! I get all fired up like this sometimes. Better cool off. Just let it flow right by. Etc.
The summary implies the researchers were surprised there was a biological reason for SIDS...did they previously think there was a supernatural force behind it or something?
I think we used to know each other, but I can't remember for sure...I wanted someone to talk to and get to know better and hope you're looking for the same! In the meantime, check out my site I made for fun! www.hotcamgirls69studs.xs
There are ups and downs to both, I guess. I have TV through Access, so it's bundled for a nice cheap price. And since I'm a student, I get the $25/mo deal rather than $40 (Sasktel also offers). So another peg down the fee ladder. Really, you can't go wrong wither either. I also would miss the internet service if I moved away. I often laugh at some people in the US who are paying $50US for a 768/128 DSL line. I can't believe how bad some ISPs are. And then the ISPs bitch and complain about how hard they have it. Heck, if a government-funded (partly) ISP in a province of less than 1 million can provide the service...why can't a company with over 50 million subscribers in half the area, and all in big cities? Oh well. Them's the breaks.
I live in Regina, but I use the enemy's (Access') service. My 5mb/s seems to work great most days, and my best friends 6mb/s Sasktel also works great. I had heard about the 40mb/s upgrade to Sasktel's network a few months back, which really excites me. Tell me, do you work at a high enough level that you know how Sasktel feels about Bittorrent and such? Do they plan to throttle it in the near future or anything? I know Sasktel is basically the leader in North America in terms of DSL tech and networks, and I think I'd switch in a second. Of course, Access is most likely going to respond with a big bump in bandwidth as well. It's great to have two providers who actually compete instead of conspire. And to make it even better, they both operate as non-profit type entities whose purpose is to serve, rather than to gouge!
Haha ok so maybe it was a little weak. But Omega was a fine book...if a little non-realistic (even for sci-fi). I'm actually just reading the Ringworld series right now for the first time, they are fantastic. Another great series I'm waiting on is the Saga of Seven Suns by Kevin J Anderson. Probably my favourite current sci-fi series.
The chances of me being hit by lighting are astronomically low.
But when it happens, do you say "well the chances are so low, that you were obviously not hit, it is impossible".
You're right that the universe and all it contains are improbable. However, perhaps it is the result of the other 50,000X10^8 possibilities that did not come about. Maybe, just maybe, we are the fluke that probability predicts. And you don't have the guts to accept that.
Is that such a bad thing though? I think games like this should be trumpeted and talked about as m uch as possible, as opposed to the smut-fests that most games are nowadays, designed to get hormones pumping in teenage boys to make a sale.
Well when the RIAA preys, you've got to pray!

These scientists are just spewing a bunch of hot air. I think they are pulling it out of their ashes.
In Soviet Russia, computer chip designs space administration!

In Soviet Russia, Microsoft is monopolized by you!
"This thing can flash-fry a buffalo in 30 seconds"..."Aaaw, but I want it nooow".

Well in Canada he can be reached with the postal code H0H 0H0

Man, I just can't seem to wrap my brain around this! Mind-boggling really. A real brainteaser.

Haha, Omega is a great book. The whole series is great, really. Do you know if he is writing any more?
For once, a reality show sounds like a blast! I hope it rockets right up to the top of the ratings!

Many things are unlikely. But they've happened.

In Soviet Russia, you tax government!
Oh come on, cleary it's the Flash.
Just think of the tie-ins with Gilette's Mach line of razors!!
I can't even stand a single can, how do you get on with that much?
What, first person to build a Skyhook gets $50,000? I've already started on my lego elevator, but I ran out after 23 blocks high.
Good, we'll need a translator when the machines take over.
