It looks like my adblock filterset.G blocked it.
Now when i have disabled adblock it plays, but at random places in the trailer it just stops playing. I can't remember when i last went to this much trouble to see a trailer, but i'm about to give up now...
If you havent had it shipped yet (i dont think that that many people have it yet), the order has been changed to reflect the price changes.
I belive that apple is working on something for the people who have recieved it already, as they have done for people who had bought fx. their laptops a week before some major upgrade.
Now, if slashdot could fix their servers, so we wouldnt get thoose annoying 503 sites.. I havent seen them that much lately, but then i havent been online that much either...
And let the kids get out and get some fresh air.. It wont prevent psychopaths go out and kill people, but at least he wont get to kill a whole generation just by walking into a computer-cafe:)
If it can prevent crimes/terrorism, or at give the authorities a clue on who did sent what, i dont have a problem about getting my picture take.. Its already on dozens of other surveillance videos, and I havent seen people complaining about that..
Will the ad give the project more exposure, and where? I guess that most people who read that newspaper already got firefox, or wont let some ad decide what browser they are using (If they were, we would see MS servers all ofer the place...)
When i go to the theater i like watching the trailers, and judging by the download count of the big movie trailers i'm not alone. I really dont see any problems with that, and if you have a problem you can always arrive late and miss them. When i was in the states a couple of years i could swear that they showed at least 15 minutes of commercials on tv. Every hour!
I thought that it was normal corporate behaviour to look at their competitors. Long time ago there was a story here on/. where one of the lead devs of IE admitted that he ran firefox. But when this guy doesnt run *nix and oracle, how should he be able to compete with them?
The discussion is pretty big, and i really wont trust his own site in explaining it, so can anyone here tell me who he is, and what he has done (with proof)?
I dont think that theese things exists, but you can have a look at www.dpreview.com and see for yourself..

Swarmstreaming: Swarming Downloads Evolved
I'm proud to finally unveil swarmstreaming our third generation of swarming algorithms that are designed for the fastest downloads of web content and multimedia without any special server software or silly.swarm files. This is probably our most exciting advancement since the original invention of swarming.
The technology improves swarming by ensuring that the bytes that the user wants next are scheduled to be received next. So if they're playing back a video file, the bytes from the front of the file will be received first. If the user (or application) skips forward to the middle of the file, the bytes at the middle of the file will be prioritized. Thus, unlike first generation swarming systems like Swarmcast or Bittorrent, you don't have to wait for the entire file to download to do something useful with it!.
Under the covers it is almost unimaginably more complicated than this because it also provides Self-Healing Downloads, implements a full-blown, scalable, Web Proxy Cache, and actively works to ensure that the video playback never studders or buffers by constantly monitoring and adapting to changing network conditions. For a raw feature dump, check out the SwarmStream SDK Feature Matrix
Nowadays, because of its immense popularity, most people have only heard of swarming because of Bittorrent. I have no animosity towards Bittorrent because it has done more than any application to prove the value of swarming to the general public. But if people are impressed by Bittorrent, they're going to be absolutely blow away by swarmstreaming and how far we've taken swarming since its humble beginnings five years ago.
The best source of information right now on swarmstreaming is Onion Networks SwarmStream SDK, so check it out and let me know what you think.
Then just wait till The 3. generation networks sets off and gives you video conversations.. The consersations are mostly via a speaker, and if you are lucky enough to sit next to the person you will be able to see the person he/she is talking to.. Problem solved:)

Even though they write:
AOL says its new Media Player is not a competing product and has different audience, as Winamp users are not likely AOL users.
I really cant see why they shouldnt use winamp instead, and bless the aol users with a good player..
( I havent had any first hand experience with aol software, but the horror stories dont make me want to try it out...)

Well.. I donate about 17 $/month to a relief organisation, so the subscribtion of 5 $, which have lasted a couple of months, wont matter that much ;)
And donate the money to Africa or asia. They need the money much more!
Im gonna make one for my girlfriend.. I'm sure she will love it :)
I looked at the danish store today, and the prices have dropped. I'm not sure about the exchange rates, but its cheaper than yesterday.

Someone seems to be obsessed with the mnumber 666.. why not say 670 or whatever number it really is, instead of "more than 666"...
