FCOL, they hire hundreds of lawyers to do that for them. Apple's lawyers won't get laughed out of court either, because this guy did leak Apple's pre-release software onto the 'net. It appears that this guy's only chance to break free from this is for Apple to drop the suit or lighten the charges.

If you want to run Windows software, buy Windows and quit complaining. Or, if you absolutely don't want to run Windows as your primary OS, buy a Mac and Virtual PC. But then, you're still supporting MS directly. If OSS is all it's cracked up to be, then you should be able to find a suitable alternative to whatever you need to run.

However, the game materials made it very clear from the get-go that this was the case, and you either had to sell your game/Dreamcast combo, or not sell the game.

You assume that the driving force behind governments and people groups is a "good life with clean air." It is not. The driving forces are greed and power. I would imagine that China and Brazil would seek to only take advantage of a taxed American economy if the U.S. were to accept the Kyoto treaty. Also, the U.S. does have the advantage of being affluent so we are free to pursue ecologically-friendly pursuits. Developing nations aren't so lucky. But, the Kyoto treaty won't really work unless everyone comes on board, and the U.S. won't come on board until it works more in her favor.

Take a course in Graphic Design, or heck, just talk to a graphic designer for a few minutes. I think your tune would change pretty quick. Presentation is critical to the delivery of your message. A good typography course will cover legibility of type faces. Using the right type face can make all the difference.

What would get more attention: a photocopied 8.5x11 sheet of paper typed in 14 point Times New Roman in all caps or a 4'x5' yellow poster with 6" tall letters in sans-serif handwriting?

I think the real problem is not discussing the look and "flashiness" of a website but in poor execution or a lack of understanding of the medium (or both).

Bringing this back around to on-topic discussion, the more complicated you make your front end (by using flash, ActiveX, CSS, and etc.) the more bugs will exist in your site which leads to more exploits. No, I don't believe that avoiding browser specific hacks would solve the problem.

Web-browsing is like sex, the only way to avoid 100% of the problems is to avoid having it at all, but then you're missing out on a lot fun.

Now, I would imagine you live in Venezuela based on your sig. Your neighbors to the North and the South are not as fortunate as you. I would also imagine that the people in your country and other developing nations who can afford a $100 laptop are not the poor but the middle class.

Just use a mini-DVI like the 12" Powerbook has), bluetooth and/or WiFi, would have a very hard time replacing a desktop machine.
