Request everyone's name at the door. Then make an IP to physical location map. Sniff every single packet from the server and dump it into a file which you can later review and check. If you catch someone you know exactly who, However this is a huge privacy violation... And if the pirates did certain things *cough*encrypt*cough* they could go unnoticed.
That's what my school did. But i d/led open office onto their open SMB share and now i can use it whenever i want. (and thanks to the moron admins at my school)
i use 20 gigs a month downloading linux iso's (via bittorrent) and playing online games. now if my isp cut my connection becuase of this i would be pretty pissed. And if they want to block my access to bittorent server i'll use a proxy like tor.
Yes, mabe people will realize that microsoft can make them do whatever they want (or threaten an unpatched system) and switch to Linux/BSD. An unpatched system isn't a really big threat in the sourceware world. Secure by default.
i completely agree with you debian has by far the best package management of any distro! it've tried suse mandrake and fedora core 3 none of them impress me as much as debian. I'M A LINUX NOOB using DEBIAN! Because it has so many packages, i don't have to compile squat.
i'm reading it on linux with firefox and it render's perfectly only a few select people have probs with/.'s rendering and i belive someone made a patch.
my home folder has like 352 items in it + my other 2 home folders (for myself with differnt usernames (because of all my distro changing)) it's 690. now/etc only has 210 it's no mess
this is attracting people to linux not repelling them. the first OS proggy i used would be mozilla and from there I learned of all sorts of opensource software and I'm planning to get a new pc with linux.

no, it's a rigorus test that ensures all browsers can render a smiley on acid!
No you've really been looking forward to sarge (debian 4.0)
Now how about an XML file... MS office files are straigt mem dumps but if it loads the image from a jpeg i bet it would be a hell of a lot faster.
Can you please redirect me to a file that takes a long time to load (after the program is started)
also most people find photoshop hard to use...
I'm willing to accept this... Assuming They're gonna buy my computer and hope I don't change the OS
You should really hear The Arrogant Worms - The War of 1812. One sec i'm downloading it now :p
Morrally i would rip in and post it in a torrent so everyone could enjoy it.
Ever heard of winamp? I never have buffering problems with it. Though it's interface isn't the best it "sure kicks the lamma's ass"

Yes but this is a fairly easy thing to configure.
I'll figure it out later and post back here some time.
No the fact that it's open source only means it runs on a half decent OS and it performs faster and better. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT FIX IT YOURSELF!
