Nah, you write as many sigfigs (significant figures) as is found in the least accurate information. Otherwise by the same logic 10 + 9 = 20. Like your logic though:)
I have a teacher this semester who doesn't teach sigfigs but expects you to get it right. Then he applies rules like "but with this info, you always show 3 sigfigs, with this info, 2 unless blah blah blah blah blah"... and he says this after marking everyone down in the test, mind you. Good thing I had a High School teacher who taught me this stuff.
His excuse? "You should have asked more questions in class". I swear, he must have expected us to actually ask "how do sigfigs work?" without knowing it would be an issue. Doesn't help that he makes you feel stupid when you ask a question in class.
He's not all bad, but still pretty bad. For more information: click.
Some profs at least claim to be a little more discerning when a page is longer than recommended. Everyone probably has at least one prof with the story (whether fact or fiction) of a student that handed in 3 pages of worthwhile material with multiple page data from a semi-related source sandwiched in, and how perople like that get a lower mark. Maybe I should make a long post and see what happens.
First, moving around quickly, and with purpose, is a true sign of character. Secondarily, bustle(e.g. hustle) yields more product for the working types. "Hustle and bustle are like my right and left arms," said Li'l Spicy in his famous "Hustle and Bustle Are Like My Right and Left Arms" speech.
Webster's defines bustle as "excited and often noisy activity; a stir." A stir, indeed. Finally, sometimes gross stuff can be funny.
Yeah, that's the problem with DDR. At the very least you need a RedOctane Ignition or it's just not fun, even for beginners (at least IMO). It's an expensive habit, but has lots of positive reuslts.
How are they going to get a Snapshot of Wikipedia in which there is no vandalism in any of the articles? It's ok to let people download Wikipedia when a few articles have been been vandalized, but to sell it in stores like that? They might have to work out a system where they copy the whole thing, put it on another page, and allow access only to admins, who will revert any vandalism they see, before having the whole thing ready for sale.
I was pissed. I built up a lot of experience points on her for nothing >:(
At first I didn't even realize what happened. I thought I had to go on some sort of a quest for some "Super Phoenix Down" to revive her, but then when I saw her missing from my party, I was like "dammit!"
Maybe I was too young to appreciate the emotional significance?
Yeah I know, and the spoon isn't real and the air you're breathing isn't real, etc.
They might be leaving their options open for the future, though. Now Microsoft can't do anything until the patent expires. Neither company should care less; let's focus on the gameplay, people!
They should just call it KFC. Every single demographic I can think of is going to laugh at them for thinking that they could change the name from "Fried" without anyone noticing. To me, it sounds like an insult against my intelligence. Kitchen Fresh Chicken...
Yeah, the whole idea of being able to insult someone without reprecussions is a big problem with forums, though the modding here helps out a bit. If mods feel that an unfair insult took place, they should hit the perp with flamebait points.
I'm against fist fighting because I would have no chance of winning.

I'll warn you ahead of time, I'm going to make another post like this in another 365 days.
I honestly think that Nintendo is just doing what they feel like. They do a cartoonish one, they do a dark one, etc, etc. I don't think it's consumer pressure. If they responded to that, we'd see some pretty weaksauce online games right about now.
Personally the sea thing was a good idea, they just had to make each section like 10% as big as it was, then it wouldn't take so long to go everywhere (plus you'd see more islands in the horizon; it would look better IMO).
No really, the way that the second part of the quote took place on the other end of the speech and probably had very little to do with Grand Theft Auto (more on the media as a whole) was real responsible.
Since everyone who reads/. is a gamer, it's smart to take a speech which is about the media, find one sentence in which GTA is mentioned, and assume that everything else in the speech is related to that sentence. That way, over 1000 people will reply to the post since they think it's about GTA, lots of debates about GTA take place, and that means more ad revenue for you. Bravo.
No similarities what so ever. The rules of "All you can eat buffets" have been firmly established. The new No Late Fees thing is new. Are you stupid for thinking that there are no late fees? Yes, but the fact of the matter is that Blockbuster is making that ridiculous promise, and they can't use fine print to escape that promise.
If I said "Brand New Dodge Vipers for $15" it might be obvious to you that this sale is impossible and there is a catch, but I still made that promise, I can't just show up at a buyer's house a week later and say "all right, here are $50 000 of mandatory fees you must now pay". Even if the $50 000 surcharge was in the contract, false advertising laws are going to get me to protect consumers.
Meanwhile, "All you can eat buffets" have
Been firmly established, everyone knows what it means
Have an actual purpose by giving the consumer a new method of purchase
Since "No Late Fees" has no real purpose above confusing people into going to BlockBuster, they should be nailed on it. "Reduced Late Fees" would have saved them a world of hurt. I'm sure any competent analyst would've have seen this coming.
It's ture that it's a sunk cost for many, many people, but we don't have live and play Halo mostly in a LAN setting, so it's not a sunk cost for everyone. Still, it's understandable that MS has no way to distribute the maps for free to those who don't have Live.

Actually, there's a very viable alternative.
(sorry.)
ahem.
Bah, just asking "What is a Googol?" is straightforward and uninteresting.
"What's the log of (a googol divided by a hundred to the power of the answer to life the universe and everything)?"
(the answer is 16).
5 + 6 = 11
the answer to life the universe and everything = 42
Don't worry, Google's down with it.

Roxor did a really good job with this. I can't wait until the PS2 version. Combine with Cobalt Flux for extremely expensive but awesome experience.

...there aren't obvious spelling or grammar mistakes.
"Via Press the Buttons, a page that has scans of the classic Nintendo Power comic series Howard and Nester."
Unless that is continued from the title, it's not a full sentence. I'll give 'em the benefit, I liked this post.
If anything, you'll lose the energy to do anything if you do that.
Hmmm.... subtle joke? I'll see what I can do.
