    If a lot of concepts change, wouldn't it be better if the interface elements looked different from what the person was used to? If the icons are the same as say Windows XP, I think people would intuitively expect them to work in the same way. But if they don't people would get more frustrated. Having that, learning a new system a whole level deeper would of course take more time and effort...

    Yeah, no shit. This is what I found in the logs some day:
    dovecot: Time just moved backwards (1173189603 -> 1173189602)! This might cause a lot of problems, so I'll just kill myself now.

    There's no need for everyone to have a 30/10 Internet connection.

    Oh but there is. It's beneficial for ISPs to make everybody need the most expensive plan. Want to view the news, fine. Want to check email? Sorry, that's only on the most expensive plan. You don't use it a lot but you pay top dolla'!

    the physical mouse also acts as a palm/hand-rest. Just moving your hand on the table would be less comfortable I think...

    There is this neat feature called a keyboard. It's the best thing ever I swear to God! You press a button with a letter on it and it suddenly appears on the screen.

    Did you know that in bash, the default shell for OS X, you can hit "ctrl-A" to move to the beginning of a long command line? Did you know that EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE OS X UI, even including text boxes in Safari, you can hit "ctrl-A" for the exact same behavior?

    I just checked, and I can do the same in my WinXP box. With the Home key. In any textbox or the command prompt. See, Windoze just gets out of your way and lets you do your creative thing. How cool is that! Innovation at its best. I bet this awesome feature will make EVERYONE switch to XP.

    No, not really. It's more like "one player who has 176 frags 5min after the match starts, two with -3 and -17 respectively and one that is compiling his config." Not really my idea of fun. I personally have the most fun with players that are on the same level of skill as myself.

    I mean there is no skill matching. :) And the overall experience is worse I believe.

    I haven't played (io)q3 online for a long time, but I bet it doesn't have as much players as QL and it's not as easy finding a game as picking a server and clicking on it.

    A modern top-down Grand Theft Auto would be nice. I remember playing GTA2 long after GTA3 was released. It's available for free now at http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/?id=3. And a decent quake would be nice too. :) That Quake Live thing is the worst thing that has "Quake" on it. It sucks at pretty much everything.
