Why build a datacenter in a desert? (I know, pork...) the cooling bills will be much higher than if they built it in, say, Detroit, or some other northern city...
I have Psioritic Arthritis; my understanding is it's caused by the immune system thinking my skin are joints are cancerous, and so attacking them; that's why the newest treatments are 'tnf' (tumor necrosis factor) blockers, that reduce the immune systems cancer fighting tags.
So, if you have auto-immune disease, these drugs could make your body tear itself apart from the inside, or maybe trigger auto-immune disease where none existed.
But it you're gonna die from cancer otherwise, bring it on.
Since the subject came up, I'm going to mention that EverQuest is going to launch their Free-to-Play program in about a week. (the original, EQ2 has been F2P for a while now) info is at http://www.everquest.com/free/ (also a new fresh server starting.)
I don't work for Sony, I just like (and play) EQ. In fact I work for a competitor.
I'm not a fan of the F2P model, I plan to keep my regular sub; but an MMO needs fresh blood to stay healthy, and I'm hoping this will boost the userbase.
Personally, I'm waiting for everyone to realize this whole Internet thing is just a fad, like Hula Hoops and Rubik's Cubes; and get back to more productive activities.
I had just gone down to Fry's and grabbed 2 long 6 outlet strips, a dozen 'Daylight' (blue tint instead of the 'warm' red tint) compact florescent bulbs, and 2 wall outlet timers. I did have to stop at the hardware store as well to get 10 minimal fixtures (just to turn standard outlets into bulb sockets)
I spend 15 minutes every morning as I wake up just gazing into the lights...
Completely changed my life; instead of having problems with insomnia and waking before noon, I now get naturally tired around midnight, and naturally wake up between 7 and 8.
I would guess the planned scam (Including the Nigerian connection) would be sending spam e-mails, etc. saying "as a nigerian prince, I inherited this billion dollar certificate. I just need a loan of $10,000 to pay for security, transport, etc. to have it redeemed, then you'll get $100,000 back..."
The certificates themselves would never be 'redeemed' just used to bait greedy people into getting scammed.
Hmmm, some of the stupidest people I know have lots of hand guns.
You know what would be hilarious?
Grabbing someone iPhone, shoving it down your pants and rubbing your junk all over it, then handing it back.
It's news because Apple is calling it iEat, and patenting it.
Should have bought Memegenerator instead.
If you do it big enough, you only have to pay if you lose.
Depends on if I have enough money to pay for the ho he's pimping.

It's the mercury in the florescent backlights that causes autism.
Don't use CCleaner, it WILL fuck up your system eventually.
So you're saying we should boil Santorum to increase it's frothyness?

Please don't send the secret service after me.
No, they aren't because of Microsoft, not because of Sony or Nintendo.
As soon as the next XBox is announced, nobody will buy the old one.
You seem to think the small business owners that this would hurt would know about it.
My personal dream combo would be an Apple/Nintendo partnership; but I suspect the egos at both companies are too big to make it work.
I'm sure all the saliva you blew into your cartridges and system had no affect on their lifespan.
How did the hipster burn his mouth?
He ate pizza before it was cool.

I find animal names work well, Kitten, Piglet, Elephant... not too hard to remember, unlikley to offend, etc.
I've long thought of if a near-light speed vehicle would generate a 'light boom' like a sonic boom produced by aircraft.

And for Dwarf Fortress.
