Then you are not sure:)
Actually reading the notes my guess: 95% there is some corruption (only money stolen), and some chance (10%) that there is a real voting manipulation.
We know that M$ or the device driver is faulty for sure.
Apple could be a problem too, but it is irrelevant while there is a BSOD.
Until there is an exploit manufacturers don't work on bugs.
I start to believe Microsoft actually enjoys these bites. And it is not out of some weird perversion. They suffer these losses so they could later kill competition by saying: "We suffered much more due to less established patent claims. But we respect the patent system, you must respect it too."
Yes, the iPhone is definitely irrelevant for M$'s business, because one cannot install msOffice on it.
But it doesn't matter, because the type of people who'll buy it don't care much about M$'s business, they care about their own.
Right. There is a mad shooter who runs up and down shooting wantonly into the crowd. He is a single target.
Now put 16 other people randomly into the crowd who are being shot on by this single person.
Even if they cool headed and got some training, they will miss the target.
Even professionals miss the target.
That's the waves of the media, all reactions are overblown.
I bet, soon 'poor Imus' will find a new and better job.
Or, if he dies out of poverty someone will get rich by writing a book out of it.
Well, instead of patching the systems, they should be WIPED. I meant it, wiped completely bare.
As a less radical alternative, ISP's should block those machines. But it is always easier to write a bot than negotiating with ISP's all over the world.
So yeah, wipe them, that would surely not cause any network congestion, it would rather be unusually silent finally.
Yeah, wine cannot even run simple mfc applications correctly. It is good as an ad-hoc substitution, but not a real solution.
An example:
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc WM_STYLECHANGING: stub
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc WM_STYLECHANGED: stub
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc WM_STYLECHANGING: stub
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc WM_STYLECHANGED: stub
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc ECO_AUTOWORDSELECTION not implemented yet!
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc ECO_NOHIDESEL not implemented yet!
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc ECO_WANTRETURN not implemented yet!

Quite surprised that Russinovich who is now on M$ payroll criticizes Vista publically.

Like anyone cares about a month's old Slashdot article.
It is more like, i want to know how the voting machine companies are doing it.

Hmm, last time i read M$ sold only some ~300 Vista licenses in China in 2 weeks. Not much more of a loss if China uses ODF.
According to MS, this is the normal course of operation.
Actually, an intelligent designer needs fewer changes than nature's random small steps. Even if those steps are beneficial.

Ah yeah, nothing is safer than dozens of people shooting in every direction.
Also it would have provided M$ a revenue stream to compensate their Vista losses and continue their campaign against the free world.
Solution is obviously: Upgrade to linux and watch downloads.
Wait a moment, i hate Apple too. Btw, who wants to run Vista virtualized? It can hardly run un-virtualized.
For a moment i thought it was spelt with two "S".
I had a feeling of being in a time loop until you pointed that old article out :)
Use Stephan or William and it is not so obvious then.

You should have said: Google is nice to strong evil people and a jerk to weak evil people.
You mean they couldn't find a large enough cage for the head monkey?

Wiring in the red dress?
I still wonder why no one wrote some code which wipes those rogue bots off (along with the terminally ill host).
