I'm pretty sure that civil disobedience is protected by the Constitution's enumerated right to freedom of expression. Downloading pirated music and movies is merely expressing disdain for a draconian, unethical law.
Reading comprehension is fun! Please continue reading, to the point where I said:
(true, but only if the government isn't violating the rights of the innocent, and leads to the possibility of forfeiting other rights).
Which the US government is doing. I DO NOT defend the Bush administration.

But how can a law that puts no filter whatsoever in place be more effective than a software filter?
That aside, this is pretty alarming. But let's haul out two old arguments: 1. the media tends to be alarmist (true), and 2. if you're innocent, you shouldn't have to worry (true, but only if the government isn't violating the rights of the innocent, and leads to the possibility of forfeiting other rights).
Also, even if this is related to the song you're currently listening to, I still think it's a non-issue. If you look at something on Amazon, you'll see recommendations for similar or related items. The same basic rule applies.
I've noticed that iTunes suggested music to me before. However, it was only related to what I currently had in my shopping cart. It never much bothered me.
You missed the reference, obviously. The Christian mythology says that the north star was the star that appeared in the heavens when Christ was born, and that the magi followed it to the manger. Which would place the manger at the North Pole, true. I merely assume that the Religious Right would believe the mythology as it's written.
According to the Christian mythology, it did. It's the star that the wise men supposedly followed to find Christ... a star that had never been seen before. Of course, if they had followed it, they would've been quite cold.
I'm sure we'll be hearing from the Religious Right about this. "The Star that appeared on the eve of our Savior's birth is actually a trinity - a three-in-one! Just like Jesus! This just proves that it's true!"
Look it up where? If I Google "make boot", all I get are links talking about how to "make boot" disks. I'm really interested, not just trolling. My Linux box takes a couple minutes longer than my Windows box to boot, and I'd love it to be faster.
I cannot find this quote in the article:
"... future versions of Xbox 360 will incorporate an additional capacity of an HD-DVD player."
Where was this? I'm confused whether they mean that only the future version of the Xbox 360 will be able to use the external drive.
Is 10K really all that significant? When you get down that low, you'd better be damn sure that your equipment is resistant to much lower temperatures anyway. Imagine Pluto with a wind chill...
Nero Burning ROM 7 supposedly has support for Blu-Ray discs (you can select it as a disc type when burning a disc image). I wonder if it actually supports them, or if it's just a placeholder for future functionality?
"The founders had the perfectly common motivation to control their fellows"
So when Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life" and told us to rid ourselves of our worldly possessions, he just wanted control???
Where are you reading this? The only place it says anything about the works being copyrighted is in the comments section, which is not the article.
Or
I want to be President just like my daddy.
Oh, wait... that's GWB.
Please... if the only link in the story is broken, don't post the story.

Then you're a leech.

Don't worry about the rant; I know all that. I was just trying to be funny; I guess I wasn't too successful

You're right. Those liquid oxygen thunderstorms can be a bitch!

Yep. Combining two separate sounds into a third one is definitely creating new words.
And yet I can't find a single person over the age of 18 that has one. Other than... me...
