I think it is BBC site design fault and let us be forgiving to the submitter. I wrote to BBC in June 2010 for similar problem.

COMMENTS: Hello,
Your section "Most popular stories now" with "Most Read" seems to be hijacked with old stories.
For instance, stories appear as most read when they are actually very old.
Woman jailed for testicle attack - 10 February 2005
Once they appear on "Most Popular...", they will continue to be read. Is this a system design problem or slow news at BBC?

The content of the most popular module is taken directly from our usage statistics. There is no editorial intervention. Stories referenced from blogs and social networking sites tend to have a much longer shelf life than other stories and to have many lives. Consequently, it is not unusual for older stories to appear a number of times in this module.
I am glad you said "Mathematics", not Maths or Math. My English Language teacher in college always corrected us not to short-form sciences..like maths, bio etc.
I've heard similar noise on Simputer years before. While I wish the project my best, I fail to see how it can be delivered. Again, check on Simputer story.
My mom does ear piercing herself (with plain sterilized needles). I've seen her making multiple punctures like....."Oops it doesn't align, let me make a new hole"!! Guess she has very high pain threshold.
I am a user of binaural beats (not of the illicit/druggie type) but for more sober stuff. I use this for meditation "Hemi-Sync.Gateway Experience" and to enhance focus and concentration "Hemi Sync Metamusic". If you can get hold of Hemi-Sync Metamusic "Einstein's Dream", you will know what I am talking about.
when you support spreading democracy and freedom in other countries. Bombing the shit out of them, to spread your so called "way of life". Internally your "perceived freedoms" are slowly eroded. Go ahead and mark me as troll and go back to living in your cocoon.
Calvin: Ha! I've got a great word and it's on a "Double word score" Hobbes: "ZQFMGB" isn't a word! It doesn't even have a vowel! Calvin: It is so a word! It's a worm found in New Guinea! Everyone knows that! Hobbes: I'm looking it up. Calvin: You do, and I'll look up that 12-letter word you played with all the Xs and Js! Hobbes: What's your score for ZQFMGB? Calvin: 957.
You have to ask "Why are these people doing this in the first place?" and address that as the root problem.
I don't deny terrorism don't exist. But it is "over hyped" to suit many in power (& industry). Reason counter terrorism measures are not effective is, you are trying to fight that hype with those counter measures. Ask yourself what happens if you hit air with 20 pound hammer?
A modern 125cc 2-stroke motorcycle will produce some 33 bhp of power, 20 Nm of torque and reach top speeds in excess of 100 mph. At 280 mpg, its fuel consumption is quite nice, though, especially when compared to some 45 mpg one would get out of a standard 125cc motorcycle.
I don't know from where you got these figures. I spent my life owning two-stroke motorcycles.
Yamaha RX100 (100cc two stroke, single cylinder) - not more than 16 bhp with ~40 kilometers per liter of petrol.
Yamaha RD350 (350cc two stroke, twin cylinder) - 30 bhp with ~18 kilometers per liter of petrol.
Jawa (250cc two stroke, single cylinder) - 18 bhp with ~35 kilometers per litre of petrol (agreed, Jawa is old technology - 1965 from Czechoslovakia)
Two stroke engine may give instant power compared to four strokes, but mileage is worst. Also, they are more polluting. You will need to mix 2-stroke oil with petrol.
My brother has a Honda 150 cc (four stroke) which is 18 bhp and gives 60 kilometers per litre of petrol.
Implementation of Information Systems is not just technology, cool displays, reports and widgets.
Repeat after me: It is CHANGE MANAGEMENT!
Your lowest common denominator user can fail the system if the change is not managed.
I think what you call "people" are like aliens from outer space. Consuming earth's resources...pillaging them..as if there is no tomorrow. Breeding and growing.
At times, I also do IT pre-sales. I use whiteboard and markers. I bluntly tell my audience there is no powerpoint presentation. Attention is guaranteed 99.99% of the times. Later, I share technical writings and design documents.
Works all the time!

There's one reason why some people call prostitution the oldest profession...
Erm, second oldest profession. The oldest profession is hunting.

My take on this:
More number laws / lawyers = litigious society
More number of doctors = diseased/ill society

Just what is this "TV" of which you speak?
Here in North Carolina, women try to act dumb.
> We've got a strong anti-intellectual culture.
It is called "survival instinct". In a typical male dominated system, females try their best to survive. Check Arthur Schopenhauer Essay "On Women".
