Just to throw another opinion into the mix. I've used 1&1 for over 6 years now and have had very little issues. We currently have 4 dedicated servers and around 30 domain names registered with them. They are a big company and you don't really get that personal touch when you call support but we've been happy with them.
Would love to help beta test it if you needed. I'm a developer as well and understand the importance of other people testing it. Just let me know - would love to help.
I was able to get a beta testing account setup about 3 weeks ago. Most of the games play surprisingly well. But for the ones that require fast response times - Dirt, Unreal Tournament - there was just too much lag. Unreal Tournament was practically unplayable since it felt like you were running at 10fps. But for games like Lego Harry Potter, it works great.:)
Just downloaded 5.5 and 6.0 and they seems to render the sites as they would. Only thing I noticed is that they do not keep session values or cookies. Still useful. Thanks!
While I do agree for shopping sites 4 seconds (on broadband) is a little long, but I've seen both Amazon.com and TigerDirect.com take well over 4 sec. Even Gmail which I use everyday can take 4 sec or more to fully load up.
Lesson to learn from post: By spare computer to go next to the other 3 in mom's basement to reduce time waiting.
The new search engine only pulls data from what Google already has. So if Google has the member-only pages, then yes it will include them.
It works almost the same as doing a search like "site:slashdot.org se7en11" except you specify the sites automaticly and you can include the results on your site.
Blame it on the rain (rain)

Here's my couple of rules when to and when not to use AJAX (from experience)
Do nots:
1) Navigation - save yourself both time and effort and just pass varables in URLs.
2) Application depend on it - like someone mentioned above, not everyone has Javascript enabled.
Dos:
1) Prevent popup windows - there's no reason to popup a window to make a small choice. Just switch the DIV with AJAX and make the choice done from within it.
2) Small enhancments to a site - like to scrol through a couple news clips or something similar
I'm sure there are more but I really need to get back to fixing my AJAX application-dependant-navigation-system.;)
Wow, your username is my MySpace password. Luckly the site is down so you can't edit my rants about how much the hot dogs cost in our lunch room and how much Billy is a big doody-head.
"A Geminoid operator wears motion-tracking lip markers. When the operator moves his mouth, Geminoid's lips make the same movement. A speaker inside the android lets the robotic double be heard."
And best said by one of the comments below the picture section:
"It's not even an android. It's all puppet and that all it is. If you have to have an operator in a back room running the thing, it doesn't even qualify as a robot, much less an "android".....
Oh, and Jim Hensen is dead, so his opinion doesn't matter.

I thought they announced last year that they would be opening up their Open Graph API to handle all kind of verbs. http://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/
I've never heard of Namecheap until all of this. I'm not saying this is the case, but what an excellent marketing plan to get your name out there.

My only question is why is Harrison Ford working for BP? (next to left circle) Once you see it, you will....

BTW: Latest build of Chrome ships with Flash.
It means I can't copy it, right?
With all that user data, you'd think they would know me better by now. But I still get these lame recommendations.
"You might be interested in action DVDs because you bought one in the past" - BRILLIANT!!
I don't think a boy's smashed face would smell very good...

6 outta 7 (Does scoring with a chick in WoW count?)
4 seconds is like lightning-fast on dial-up!

I was just thinking "No way! Those commericals where right!"

These videos might prove to give you a better idea of what the game is all about.
;)
If Robin Williams likes the game, it must be good.
